More Winning: TPS Ends for Salvadorans

The Temporary Protective Status is finally falling away. This country will no longer serve as the never-ending battered women's shelter of the world.

That's the way it should be. The United States simply cannot take up every hard-luck case in the world. There is only so much food, water, space, resources, plus the diminishing respect for the rule of law and the Judeo-Christian culture which defines this blessed, beautiful country.

TPS was revoked for Haitians fleeing their island nation in 2010. Plenty of time has passed, and those refugees have received enough support and pause to return to their countries.

The same is true for the Guatemalans, the Nicaraguans, and now the Salvadorans.

The earthquake which drove them to the United States took place in 2001. It's been 17 years. If those individuals have not become citizens by now, then they had no interest in becoming citizens ever. Enough is enough.

U.S. moves toward expelling 200,000 Salvadorans

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Some 200,000 Salvadoran immigrants allowed to live and work in the United States since 2001 will lose their right to remain in the country in 2019, officials said on Monday, marking the Trump administration’s latest move to tighten immigration enforcement.

18 months is plenty of time to get legal or go home. They already had 17 years!

The United States will end the Salvadorans’ temporary protected status (TPS) on Sept. 9, 2019, giving them 18 months to leave or seek lawful residency, and for El Salvador to prepare for their return, officials said. The status was granted in the wake of two devastating 2001 earthquakes in El Salvador that left hundreds of thousands in the country homeless.

These are tragic circumstances, but this country has not said "No" to these never-ending demands from the rest of the world. It's time for other countries in Latin America and

The decision to end TPS for Salvadorans is part of the administration’s broader push to tighten immigration laws and expel those living in the United States illegally. The move was heavily criticized by immigrant advocates who said it ignored violence in El Salvador and gave the Salvadorans few options but to leave the United States or remain illegally.

Who cares what immigrant or immigration advocates have to say! If they feel that strongly about the issue, then they should take those families into their homes and pay for them in full. There is no way that the evils ravaging Central and South America will end as long as the citizenry of these countries flee to the United States as their one recourse.

It's time for Central and South Americans to fight and make their home countries great again. They can and they will do this.

And we Americans will do the same for our country.

LULAC Cries, I Rejoice: Abused TPS Programs Terminated by Trump Administration

Despite the lies and pleadings of people on the life, I do read and follow the news and press releases of rival organizations.

When they say something bad has happened, it gives me another reason to rejoice.

The Temporary Protective Status program has been eliminated, and there is nothing that the illegal alien panderers can do about it.

Check out the news below, from a press release issued by LULAC:

Washington, D.C. – On Monday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) terminated Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Nicaraguans and left Honduras with an extension that has a new expiration date of July 5, 2018. TPS was established by Congress in 1990 to apply to countries who have suffered from war, disease, natural disasters, and other catastrophes. Thousands from both Nicaragua and Honduras were given the special status in 1999 after Hurricane Mitch devastated Central America. Today, many TPS countries are dealing with safety issues and with the after effects of the conditions that led to their designation.

The Honduran immigrants have lived in the United States for years, even decades. One would think that they would have taken every step to become naturalized citizens at this point. These kinds of programs have made it too easy for people to live here and enjoy the privileges of citizenship without claiming the responsibilities which must be joined with them

Citizenship means a full buy-in to everything that is the United States. We are not seeing that now, and these problems will continue as long as immigrants can come to the United States claiming emergency refugee status, but then stick around long after the imminent dangers in their home countries have dissipated.

TPS for Nicaragua will terminate on January 5, 2019, giving the approximately 2,500 Nicaraguans, who have lived in the U.S. legally for roughly 20 years, 14 months to leave the United States. Meanwhile, approximately 57,000 immigrants from Honduras are left in limbo, fearing they may soon suffer the same fate as Nicaragua and forced to return to a country that has the highest homicide rate in the world.

What about the needs of Americans? What about their concerns? We have men and women living on the streets of Los Angeles County homeless. Veterans are in great need, as well.

Sindy Benavides, Honduran native and Interim Chief Operating Officer for LULAC stated, “We are concerned that DHS is not evaluating country conditions closely enough and acting recklessly to end TPS. Just this year, the State Department issued a travel warning for U.S. Citizens who were considering traveling to Honduras. We are outraged that this Administration is putting the lives and future of current tax-payers in limbo. People’s lives are being abruptly disrupted after living, working, and contributing to their community for close to two decades. Our message is clear: we urge Congress to protect these families! We must stop the Trump Administration’s cruel broader efforts to tighten restrictions on immigration by enacting a permanent solution that keeps families together!”

"People's lives are being disrupted." What about the lives of the citizens in this country, who have seen their jobs taken away because of cheap labor undercutting wages?

LULAC National President, Roger C. Rocha Jr., condemned the Administration's actions, “This is yet another inhumane attack on lawful, tax-paying, and hard-working families. The Trump Administration refuses to accept that this country was built on the backs of immigrants and therefore, shows no empathy and continues to separate thousands of immigrant families. All 325,000 TPS recipients are vetted, legally present and authorized immigrants in the United States. Along with devastating thousands of families, a mass deportation of TPS recipients would cost taxpayers more than $3 billion. We must do better. We urge the administration to continue to carefully review the designation for TPS countries. We are asking our LULAC members and the public to call the White House at 202-456-1111 and DHS 202-282-8495 to make your voice heard on TPS!”

"Lawful"--for once, the president of LULAC can make that claim. They do reside in the country legally, but they have lived in the country long enough to ready themselves to fight for their home countries, or to become citizens of the United States. You cannot have it both ways. Individuals in this country cannot enjoy the privileges of citizen, but then refuse to embrace the whole American ideal.

It simply cannot go both ways.

Final Reflection

I spoke to one of the leaders of LULAC--it might have been Roger Rocha!--and this spokesman had an arrogant veneer. He called out "You Tea Party" people, and played this cultural warfare game of going after people just because of their political commitment to ensuring the integrity and security of the United States of America.

We need an immigration system and policy which works the best for Americans, for the United States of America. We cannot have these programs which simply allow foreign nationals to live legally in the country. If you want to live in America, you need to love America and become an America.

If you are looking for respite as a refugee, and you came in legally, then you need to prepare to return to your home country and make your home country great again. If you love the United States and want to stay here for the rest of your life, then become an American citizen. There can no longer be these extended periods of time where men and women enjoy legal status in the country, yet refuse to become fully naturalized citizens.

TPS Program (Temporary Protective Status) No Longer to Be Protected?

DACA has been repealed.

And it looks like another immigration program is about to get deported, too.

Townhall.com reports:

Yet, as the Hill deals with this issue, there’s another immigration issue on the horizon. Axios’ Jonathan Swan said that Temporary Protected Status is the next battle. In short, TPS allows foreign nationals to stay in the U.S. due to extraordinary circumstances in their home countries. This status has to be renewed by President Trump and a handful of nations are approaching their expiration date this fall.

I had spoken with a left-wing open border activist about this program.

In fact, I had never heard of it.

I spoke to another immigrant in the Southeast LA area, and he informed me that this program should serve as a temporary measure only. He later became a citizen, and he now votes!

What is the excuse for the nearly 1 million people in the United States who are staying in this country under the TPS order, but are not taking steps to return to their home countries?

This abuse of our generosity has to stop.

The United States has indeed been a very generous country.

Now they other countries in the world are notoriously abusing this kindness.

We need to stop the overflow of immigration into the United States, legal as well as illegal.

I hope that the President simply does nothing and allows the TPS agreements with different countries to lapse and expire.

We have too many Americans living like refugees in our country. They need our help.

Los Movemientos are Panicking! No More Illegal Immigration!

The amnesty-pandering activists are losing their minds all over the country!

They can't believe it. They just cannot accept the fact that President Trump and his cabinet are following through on their promises to end illegal immigration and do away with all the unconstitutional programs undermining the rule of law and sovereignty in our country.

They are trying to break out the big guns now!

Thousands Expected To Join NYC Rally In Response To DACA Repeal
The rally follows a civil disobedience action at Trump Tower on Tuesday in which 9 DACA recipients and 25 allies were arrested, as Sessions announced the Trump Administration’s repeal of DACA
“We are angry for all the young undocumented immigrants that haven’t turned 16 yet and are waiting to apply for DACA. We are angry, for all the DACA parents that could lose the job that supported their family. We are angry, for all the plans that DACA recipients had that now seem impossible. But we are also strong; and no politician- not Trump, not Paxton- can take that away from us. Our strength and resilience have never depended on a work permit,” said Thais Marques, a spokesperson for Movimiento Cosecha.
Who: Movimiento Cosecha, DACA recipients, immigrant workers and allies
What: Rally and March
When: Saturday September 9th at 2pm
Where: Begins at Columbus Circle, NY
The repeal of DACA, together with the likely repeal of TPS, means that over a million immigrant workers stand to lose their jobs. It means massive layoffs across the country, at an unprecedented scale. Over the course of the next two years, an average of 1,400 DACA workers will lose their jobs every single day. DACA and TPS recipients with families that depend on them to get by will no longer be able to support their parents and children. “Today’s announcement means we must brace ourselves for what is soon to become an economic crisis in our community.” said Marques. Starting tomorrow, there will be many who will walk into work, knowing they may soon lose their jobs. In the coming weeks and months, we will need to be there for each other. We will need to help protect one another in the workplace. We will need to fight to stop DACAmented workers from getting fired, and raise money to support our families. We cannot be silent through this crisis, nor will any of us be able to get through it alone.
“Every single day, more DACA recipients will be losing their work permits and protection from deportation. We cannot wait for congress to act. For the last 20 years, politicians in Washington DC have made promise after promise to pass legislation that would grant permanent protection to our community. For the last 20 years we have watched with baited breath as negotiations fail and bills die. For the last 20 years we have seen both Republicans and Democrats failing to make good on their promises to the immigrant community. The only way we will be able to win permanent protection is if we come out in mass numbers.” said Maria Fernanda Cabello, a DACA recipient who was arrested at today’s action. “We are doing this to tell DACA holders everyone that now is the time. There are so many of us. We need to come together, to be visible, to be heard. Our community is in crisis and we need you.”

Cosecha is a new national movement fighting for permanent protection, dignity and respect for all 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States through mass economic noncooperation.

OH NO!

All these "immigrants" will lose their jobs!

Actually, no--illegal aliens will lose all the benefits which they have been stealing from this country, that's what is going to happen.

And there is nothing they can do about it this time.

Not only that, but the TPS programs (Temporary Protective Status for Latin American "refugees" is about to be repealed, too.

This program was enacted to allow for exactly what the program headlines for itself: temporary status.

The refugees who came here were not supposed to stay here, but return to their home countries. There are individuals who still reside in the United States 20 years later!

Enough already.

Sorry, illegals, but your free ride is over. The idea that you were going to stay in the United States for ever and take advantage of every privilege of citizenship--without becoming a citizen--is over. We have Americans who are living like refugees in their own country!

It's time to take care of Americans, and it's time for foreign nationals to return to their home countries and make their nations great again.
