He's supposed to serve Californians.
He's supposed to be the state assemblyman for the South Bay section of Los Angeles County.
Instead, we find him virtue-signaling with Tennessee State Rep. Justin Jones of Nashville.
He's giving this weak power-fist move, too. Cringeworthy
Democrats are all about performative politics. They don't accomplish anything substantive or worthwhile for their constituents. They care more about virtue-signaling than virtue.
There has been little virtue in Asm. Muratsuchi's legislative work or constituent service.
What's going on here?
Check out the comments on his Facebook post:
I stand with Tennessee State Rep. Justin Jones and all civil rights warriors fighting back against those determined to roll back decades of progress made by the Civil Rights Movement.
What rights are being rolled back in Tennessee?
Are black people being forced to sit in the back of the bus?
Are black people not be served at lunch counters?
Are black people getting singled out in classrooms across the state, or segregated into black-only schools?
None of these things are happening.
The cause of this Democratic uproar is that the Republican legislature, and it is supermajority Republican, has complied with a recent Supreme Court ruling which states that all Congressional districts must be drawn in a race-neutral fashion. There can be no explicit Congressional districts which favor one race over another.
Congressman Steve Cohen's district was drawn with race explicitly in place, i.e. to ensure a majority black district. Those redistricting practicess are now illegal.
Steve Cohen, a white Democrat, is likely to be replaced by a black Republican in the 2026 election. Where is the argument that civil rights are getting rolled back? Where is the attack on the Civil Rights Movement?
There is no attack at all.
What's happening is that the Civil Rights Movement has turned into a catch-phrase by progressive, leftist politicians to shore up more Democratic Congressional seats, regardless of historical or municipal boundaries. The Civil Rights Movement was supposed to be about judging people based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
Rep. Jones wants majority-black districts to remain. He wants to segregate black people because of their skin color into specific Congressional districts.
He also supports "black-only" graduation ceremonies.
He was also a vocal support of the so-called "Black Lives Matter" movement, which actually harmed black communities throughout the country.
He is a black supremacist doing the bidding of white liberals, like Congressman Steve Cohen.
He is a fraud, just like Groomer Al Muratsuchi.
