This is the abuse of power which activist organizations around the country, left and right, are speaking out against.
Because of routinely bad police officers like this Karen with a badge, police departments in general face nothing but hardships. There is a reason why the police powers in many states are facing unprecedented pushback.
Police officers can and do exert power with impunity, and with immunity. Even in California, up until recently police officers could be removed from one police department, but they could then seek employment at any other law enforcement agency, and no one would know that they were disciplined or fired.
The Blue Wall of Silence protects many bad police officers, and the collective bargaining units, otherwise known as Police Officer Associations, do all kinds of damage, covering up for bad police officers while threatening to hold cities hostage if they do not give them more in terms of salary, pensions, and benefits.
Again, I have to stress the disturbing reality that police officers can violate the rights of everyday citizens and face no penalty of doing so. Government employees generally get away with all kinds of incompetence, and this problem is exacerbated when we talk about police officers.
This awful Karen of a Cop is one terrible example of this corrupted entitlement mentality.

Of course, a suspension is not enough. She needs to be fired!
