Open Letter to PragerU Congratulating Two Homosexuals on False Marriage and Fake Adoption

Dennis Prager and the Prager Universe:

My name is Arthur Schaper, the Organization Director for MassResistance, the international pro-family group that makes the difference. For nearly thirty years, our organization has been taking on one of the most essential and controversial fights in the culture war on the Right: the fight against the LGBT agenda and the lies of the anti-family, anti-natural law Left.

Yet for the last five years, it has become increasingly clear that most so-called conservative "stars" and non-profits not only want to avoid this fight, but they have all but caved in and give this destructive LGBT madness one victory after another.

It was bad enough seeing CPAC descend to inviting drag queens and cross-dressers as featured guests at at their fake conference. It's no better when otherwise "conservative" news outlets give confused men like Bruce Jenner in drag a platform to pretend to be a conservative.

But now you and your team have congratulated out-homosexual Dave Rubin and his fake "husband" regarding their upcoming plans to become fathers via surrogacy?!

This is unconscionable. How man tenets of conservatism does this violate?

There can be no marriage beyond the union of one man and one woman.  There can be no family beyond the union of a man and a woman with the children whom they have reared and raised. There can be no civilization without family, without natural marriage, without a foundational regard for this natural law.

Furthermore, children need their biological parents: the mother and the father. Surrogacy, and so-called same-sex "families" are inherently abusive, depriving children of their parents. Numerous studies and metrics have affirmed that children's psychological, emotional, and even physical well-being depend on their being raised by their biological parents.

When two homosexuals get (in blunt actuality, steal) children from their natural parents via surrogacy, it is nothing more than child-trafficking. This is disgusting, demeaning, and it should be criminalized in the United States.

The necessary bases of natural marriage, sex, and family are a fundamental revelation which the Judeo-Christian heritage provided to the West -- and the world! The biggest reason why the West is in decline today--besides its growing abandonment of Spiritual, Biblical revelation as the fundamental value force for all good--is the decline and destruction of the natural family.

Let's be frank:

  • "Build the Wall"
  • "America First"
  • "Make America Great Again"

All of these phrases, mottos, and mantras mean nothing if we do not:

  • Make Male and Female Great Again
  • Make Marriage Great Again
  • Make Mom and Dad Great Again

I must remind you that the Byzantine Empire had the thickest walls in modern history, and yet that empire fell to outside forces in A.D. 1453, in part because of the spiritual malaise which had overtaken the civilization from the inside. A key reason for that moral and cultural rot was the decline of natural relations between men and women, and the destruction of the family. The same doubly holds true for the Roman Empire and the several city states of Ancient Greece. Just read The Histories by ancient Greco-Roman eye-witness Polybius.

Defense and promotion of natural marriage and natural family is essential to conservatism, or what is there to conserve in the first place?

I am beyond disappointed, Dennis Prager and PragerU.

And yes, sure, I am aware that you have received complaints from other well-known commentators across the country about that tweet, and that your team was thinking about taking down that tweet at some point. And yet here we are, and nothing has been done. In fact, it's too late. The news  about this public statement has gone so far abroad already.

PragerU, you are not even "controlled opposition," as some of your critics contend.

You are part of the cultural problem afflicting this country now.

Sincerely,

Arthur Schaper, Field Director

Why is PragerU Congratulating Two Homosexuals on their False Marriage and their Fake Adoption (In Reality, Their Surrogacy Child-Trafficking)?

No, it's false. ALL OF IT.

"Conservatism" is Dead: Dave Rubin Celebrates Stealing Children, and PragerU Congratulates Them

We can and must do better than conservatism, if this is what conservatism amounts to?

Dave Rubin abuses his body with another man. And now these two men are stealing children away from their biological parents so that they can virtue signal what a happy, stable "Gay couple" they are. The truth is that they are a false couple. Two men can never be married, and they cannot be suitable parents as partners. Children need a Mom and a Dad. This surrogacy scam is a deceptive email. This is pre-eminent selfishness at its worst. And to add insult to injury, PragerU celebrated this nonsense! What is there to be congratualtory about? What gives? This is shameful! It is a worthwhile question to start pushing out there: what have these so-called conservative non-profits actually conserved? We need to put a stop to this "Speedbump to Socialism" fecklessness. What is the best way to deal with these fake conservatives, though? Stop giving them money. Stop giving them our time. Stop giving them attention and promotion. Simple as that.

The Problem Is Not the Left: It's the Lack of Righteousness -- BY FAITH!

Dennis Prager loves to say "The Left ruins everything it touches."

I disagree.

The Left can touch anything it wants. People can choose to "touch back", to push back, to fight back.

And right now, we have seen too many people not do that.

Why? Cowardice, lack of boldness. Remember what Edmund Burke said:

And yet, telling people that they are cowardly does not help people. Shaming people does not get them to break free of the bondage of fear. What does?

God's perfect love:

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." (1 John 4:18)

This perfect loves gives a perfected standing of righteousness in Christ Jesus!

"Herein is our love made perfect [lit. love perfected among us], that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world." (1 John 4:17)

What do we believe about Jesus? That He is our RIGHTEOUSNESS:

"But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:" (1 Corinthians 1:30)

and

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)

This righteousness makes us BOLD:

"The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1)

and

"In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee." (Isaiah 54:14)

Righteousness is not something that we do, but something that is done to us! Righteousness frees us fro oppression and fear, because we know that God is with us!

"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." (Isaiah 54:17)

When you know that no weapon that people use against you will be successful, then you know that you can speak out, step up, speak up, and not fear what man may do to you (Hebrews 13:6)

That's the boldness that is needed, and it comes when we receive--and keep receiving--the gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17)

And that is "the faith" that Paul writes about to the Corinthians:

"Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." (1 Corinthians 16:13)

We need to get back to the Gospel:

"38Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses." (Acts 13:38-39)

BAM!

When the revelation of righteousness by faith is restored in the Body of Christ, then the boldness to stand up to evil will be restored fully in the land. The Left is not the problem. The problem is the lack of righteousnesss, particularly the revelation of righteousness by faith in Christ!

YES!

Calling Out their Cowardice -- Denouncing Conservative Media Silence Toward the LGBT Agenda

In the late 1980s, the LGBT movement introduced the subtle but false argument that homosexuals were “born that way.”  Today, they are forcing their agenda on us with relentless militancy. If anyone speaks out against these perverse behaviors, they are met with condemnation, de-platforming on social media, termination from their jobs, or even jail time.  The movement has become serious threat to a free country and the natural order.

Liberal and progressive politicians embrace this tyranny.  But where are the conservatives to “out” this massive problem?  Sadly, so-called conservatives have tried their best to avoid or have capitulated to this agenda.  Worst of all, conservative media leaders have remained silent on this sinister threat to freedom of speech and thought. Rather than rushing into the fight, they are hiding in the bushes.

More specifically, conservative leading lights like the editors of National Review, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, and Laura Ingraham consistently refused to address the LGBT assault on Americans’ health, freedom, and culture.  These pundits will not even report on, let alone challenge, the horrific “Equality Act,” which marks a turning point of the LGBT Agenda: the culmination of the tyrannical thrust of this movement at the expense of the natural rights of all.

Why are these conservative media stars afraid to speak out against the LGBT movement?  After all, free expression has never been easier.  Competitive conservative journalism is on the rise, while the pro-gay mainstream media is in decline.  Sadly, aside from LifeSiteNews and some other Christian media sources, most pro-family and conservative media organizations refuse to confront the radical, abusive, and tyrannical LGBT agenda.  Drudge Report and The Gateway Pundit even portray the LGBT movement as laudable.

Dennis Prager, one of the most prominent conservative thinkers is no better.  His PragerU videos have educated millions of people on conservative issues, but his record on exposing the LGBT Agenda is terrible. Prager has produced videos on transgender movement’s threat to free speech (“Preferred Pronouns or Prison) and the importance of biological sex differences (“Sex Matters”).  But he refuses to condemn the LGBT “rights” movement, especially the health hazards of homosexuality and  transgenderism.

In fact, on homosexuality PragerU has become quite accommodating.  In one video, “I'm Gay...Conservative…So What?,” PragerU features Guy Benson (editor of Townhall.com), who declares, “I am Christian, conservative, and gay.”  The video title itself is a total lie. Christian doctrine—and nature itself!—reject homosexuality.

Conservatism is defined by defending the essential institutions of natural marriage and family, which homosexuality by definition opposes.  The idea of “gay marriage” is another falsehood, and conservatives should reject any capitulation to that idea and the rest of the LGBT alphabet.  And yet another PragerU video addressing homosexuality, "Are Conservatives Anti-Gay?," bends over backward to try and prove that conservatives are not “anti-gay” or “homophobic” (employing the loaded language of the left). The video even advocates “decriminalizing homosexuality worldwide” through the U.N.
'
Then there’s Ben Shapiro, who refuses to confront the lies of LGBT “identity” politics.  His last column addressed this problem over four years ago.  Today, he retreats to arguments that children are better off with a mother and a father.  He doesn’t address homosexuality itself.  He avoids any discussion of its impact on society.  Recently, both Shapiro and The Federalist fired a contributing writer because she denounced homosexuality.  (Fortunately, that writer has returned to The Federalist, but there is no word that Shapiro has welcomed her back.)

What about Rush Limbaugh?  A fearless firebrand on family issues in the early 1990s, Limbaugh rushes away from discussing the LGBT Agenda today.  Conservative, populist-leaning writers like Victor Davis Hanson, Pat Buchanan, and Tucker Carlson won’t say anything.  The editors of National Review are in full retreat.  Alternative conservative media types like Mike Dice, Jack Posobiec, and Stefan Molyneux refuse to confront the issue. Even Paul Joseph Watson, one of the most confrontation and inflammatory commentators on social media, has all but caved to the LGBT agenda.  He even makes open appeals to “the gays” because of the militant rise of Islam in the United Kingdom.

Why should these pundits care?  There are fundamental dangers embedded in the LGBT Agenda:  the massive health problems, the moral concerns, the psychological issues associated with these behaviors.  As for the live-and-let-live libertarians, they forget that a free-market economy cannot flourish without a stable society.  Homosexuality, transgenderism, and other paraphilias (sexual deviance) undermine the basic fabric of our culture, and conservatives are supposed to be protecting—read, conserving!—our culture.  As for the behaviors themselves, they can lead to high incidences of disease, dysfunction, and death, along with (for transgenders) infertility.

The conservative movement should not be kowtowing to LGBT identity politics.  Instead of running away, conservative media must stand up to the LGBT monolith and call out its lies.  Whatever is holding back the conservative and pro-family media – fear of being labeled a bigot, fear of being blacklisted on social media, fear of losing corporate sponsors – this cowardice is hastening the demise of our country.  The LGBT juggernaut is not stopping, because it’s a key weapon in the Left’s totalitarian assault.

So far, MassResistance has been the only international organization to denounce the LGBT Agenda in full, and today we are denouncing these conservative media leaders’ silence on these issues.
It’s time for them to discuss, debate, and establish some inconvenient truths:

·         People are not born gay.
·         People are not born in the wrong body.
·         It is not OK to be “gay.”
·         Homosexual and transgenderism are mental disorders.
·         It is not OK to encourage or protect these mental disorders as “civil rights.”

This declaration is meant as a “warning shot” to the silent, craven conservative media class.  They must now stand up to the LGBT Agenda and defend natural marriage and family as strongly as they defend  life, the Second Amendment, and other natural rights.  We invite every major media pundit on the right to take up our challenge.  If they refuse, they must then admit that they are not true conservatives.

What's Holding the Arab World Back? Jew Hatred (From PragerU)

This is one of the best videos from PragerU.

The problem of anti-Semitism in the world cannot be understated.

It is breathtaking how Jew-hatred contributes to so many problems in the world, especially in the Middle East, where Arab Leaders have allowed scapegoating Jews and Israels to cover for their manifold crimes and their disregard for the well-being of the Arab peoples throughout the region.

--Bret Stephens

In the judo competition of the 2016 Olympics in Brazil, an Israeli heavyweight judo fighter
named Or Sasson defeated his Egyptian opponent, Islam El Shehaby, in a first-round match.
The Egyptian then refused to shake the Israeli’s extended hand, earning boos from the crowd.
If you want the short answer for why the Arab world is sliding into the abyss, look no further
than this little incident. It illustrates how hatred of Israel and Jews corrupts every element of
Arab society.

You won’t find this explanation for the Arab world’s decline among journalists and academics.
They reflexively blame the usual suspects: the legacy of colonialism, unemployed youth, the
Sunni-Shia sectarian divide, and every other politically correct excuse they can think of. For
them, hatred of Israel is treated like sand in Arabia -- just part of the landscape.

Yet the fact remains that over the past 70 years the Arab world expelled virtually all of its Jews,
some 900,000 people, while holding on to its hatred of them. Over time the result proved
fatal: a combination of lost human capital, expensive wars against Israel, and an intellectual
life perverted by conspiracy theories and a perpetual search for scapegoats. The Arab world’s
problems are a problem of the Arab mindset, and the name of that problem is anti-Semitism.
As a historical phenomenon, this is not unique. Historian Paul Johnson has noted that
wherever anti-Semitism took hold, social and political decline almost inevitably followed. Just
a few examples:

Spain expelled its Jews in 1492. The effect, Johnson noted, “was to deprive Spain (and its
colonies) of a class already notable for the astute handling of finance.”

In czarist Russia, the adoption of numerous anti-Semitic laws ultimately weakened and
corrupted the entire Russian government. These laws also led to mass Jewish emigration,
resulting in a breathtaking loss of intellectual and human capital.

Germany might well have won the race for an atomic bomb if Hitler hadn’t sent Jewish scientists
like Albert Einstein and Edward Teller into exile in the U.S.

These patterns were replicated in the Arab world. Contrary to myth, the cause was not the
creation of the state of Israel in 1948. There were bloody anti-Jewish pogroms in Palestine in
1929, Iraq in 1941, and Libya in 1945.

Nor is it accurate to blame Israel for fueling anti-Semitism by refusing to trade land for peace.

Among Egyptians, hatred of Israel barely abated after Prime Minister Menachem Begin
returned the entire Sinai Peninsula to Egypt. And among Palestinians, anti-Semitism became
markedly worse during the years of the Oslo peace process.

Johnson calls anti-Semitism a “highly infectious” disease capable of overwhelming intellectuals
and simpletons alike. Its potency, he noted, lies in transforming a personal and instinctive
irrationalism into a political and systematic one. For the Jew-hater, every crime has the same
culprit and every problem has the same solution. Anti-Semitism makes the world seem simple.
In doing so, it condemns the anti-Semite to a permanent darkness.

Today there is no great university in the Arab world, no serious scientific research, a stunted
literary culture. In 2015 the U.S. Patent Office reported 3,804 patents from Israel, as compared
with 30 from Egypt, the largest Arab country. Hatred of Israel and Jews has also deprived the
Arab world of both the resources and the example of its neighbor. Israel quietly supplies water
to Jordan, helping to ease the burden of Syrian refugees, and quietly provides surveillance
and reconnaissance capabilities to Egypt to fight ISIS in the Sinai. But this is largely unknown
among Arabs, for whom the only permissible image of Israel is an Israeli soldier in riot gear,
abusing a Palestinian. Successful nations make a point of trying to learn from their neighbors.

The Arab world has been taught over generations only to hate theirs.

This may be starting to change. Recently, the Arab world has been forced to face up to its
own failings in ways it cannot easily blame on Israel. The change can be seen in the budding
rapprochement between Jerusalem and Cairo, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.

But that’s not enough. So long as an Arab athlete can’t pay his Israeli opposite the courtesy
of a handshake, the disease of the Arab mind and the misfortunes of its world will continue.
For Israel, this is a pity.

For the Arabs, it’s a calamity.

I’m Bret Stephens.

The Single Life: A Challenge to Overcome or a Blessing to Receive?

Is there something wrong with being single? Should Christians rush into marriage?

In many churches, the message from elders, pastors, and even (for singles) our friends and family suggest that if you are single, it’s a status that needs to change. I have heard this question, to myself as well as to others: “Why aren’t you married yet? Pastors like Pastor John Hagee have exhorted their congregation bluntly: "Get Married!" He even suggested that individuals in the Bible who remained unmarried did so because they were prepared for martyrdom. Even Pastor Joseph Prince of New Creation Church has shared that the married life is better.

Even mainstream conservative pundits like Dennis Prager emphasize marriage, describing the institution as a necessary and proper rite of passage, or the best way for men to maximize their manhood, income, and social status.

True, married people live longer, make more money, etc. However, these are spurious correlations. Marriage does not automatically produce these results. This “marriage makes you better” argument is a "post hoc, propter hoc" fallacy. A work ethic, a sense of responsibility, a diligent outlook for the good of others besides oneself define manhood, or more importantly adulthood.

Employers hire married people because they display more consistency and integrity in their work, perhaps. Men (and women) can have different reasons for earning more money besides the rearing of children. Responsible people are more likely to get married, as opposed to marriage makes people more responsible. Some people like business, like working; other people are dedicated to other causes which require more funding. These benefits are not exclusive to marriage!

“But even the Bible calls marriage a blessing—Won’t I miss out?”

The Bible does consider married life blessed:

"He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
And obtains favor from the Lord." (Proverbs 18:22)

And also:

"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." (Psalm 127:3)

Does that mean if I don’t get married, I won’t find a good thing or obtain favor?

Not at all! Proverbs identifies other ways in which people obtain favor:

"Blessed is the man that heareth me [Wisdom, a type of Christ appearing in the Old Testament], watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

"For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD." (Proverbs 8: 34-35)

Favor and reward have everything to do with God, not with marriage. The first mention of "reward" appears in Genesis:

"After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward." (Genesis 15:1)

Indeed, children are a heritage from the Lord, but all of us can receive all blessings through our spiritual inheritance in Christ Jesus:

"In righteousness, you shall be established … this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me" (Isaiah 54: 14,17)

This pronouncement should settle the matter:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”

We obtain favor, life, all other good things because of Jesus!

Finally, what does the Bible say to singles and about the single life? Is there something wrong with not being married?

In Genesis, God commanded Adam and Eve, then Noah and his family to "be fruitful and multiply.”

This exhortation occurs under the Old Covenant. Today, we live under the New Covenant.

Let’s consider what the New Testament shares on the matter of marriage or the single life.

In Matthew 19:10-12, Jesus relates that there are those who choose not to marry for the Kingdom of Heaven’s sake. Many believers who have received the Kingdom of Heaven (righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost Romans 14:17) are content and see no need to marry (and there is no need to castrate oneself, so take it easy!)

The Apostle Paul’s statements to the Corinthian Church this matter are the most informative:

“It is good for a man not to touch a woman.”

How about that? Yet “good” in the King James Version is not adequate. The Original Greek has kaloswhich means “noble, beautiful, inspiring!”

Paul also writes:

For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that." (1 Corinthians 7:7)

Paul preferred the single life. But it was his preference, not God's commande. Thee statement “It is good for a man not to touch a woman” – that is from God!

What are the benefits of single status, according to Paul?

"But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife." (1 Corinthians 7:32-33)

Married people will have more burdens, more concerns to consider in their lives. Many people need to recognize this when going into marriage. No matter what standards the world has laid out (or rather, abandoned), marriage is a full-on commitment for life. Those demands will change a person’s status, outlook, and outcomes for good.

“And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction." (1 Corinthians 7:35)

In fact, Paul considered the single life better!

“He that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.” (1 Corinthians 7:38)

Our standard on the single life must be God’s Word, not preachers’ sermons or pundits’ articles. So, why is it that so many pastors, preachers, churches, and teachers are promoting the message to their congregations that singles should get married?

Stay tuned for the next article.

Prager Career Woman Regrets Life Choices: A Reflection

I read this article from Dennis Prager last month (and pretty soon, last year).

This career woman at age 50 was bemoaning her life choices, and her statement fits in with Dennis Prager's long-standing view that people need to get married, and they need to get married young.

He is affirmative on the argument that young people, especially young woman, are in big trouble, looking forward to an empty life if they do not get married.

Here are Prager's thoughts, mostly the words of the "career woman", and my thoughts interspersed within.

Every Wednesday, the second hour of my national radio show is the “Male/Female Hour.” A few weeks ago, a woman named Jennifer called in. For reasons of space, I have somewhat shortened her comments. Every young woman should read them. This is precisely what she said:

Everyone woman must read this! NOW! (Really?!)

“Dennis, I want to get right to it. I’m 50 years old with four college degrees. I was raised by a feminist mother with no father in the home. My mother told me get an education to the maximum level so that you can get out in the world, make a lot of money. And that’s the path I followed. I make adequate money. I don’t make a ton of money. But I do make enough to support my own household.

The truth is that anyone who pursues wealth and career status as a set of life-defining goals, whether you are male or female, will run into a lot of hurt and heart-ache. Money many answer all things, but it does not give or substantiate life.

“I want to tell women in their 20s: Do not follow the path that I followed. You are leading yourself to a life of loneliness. All of your friends will be getting married and having children, and you’re working to compete in the world, and what you’re doing is competing with men. Men don’t like competitors. Men want a partner. It took me until my late 40s to realize this.

This issue of "loneliness" comes us a great deal, especially among women. But what defines, or rather causes loneliness?

It's a factor of feeling that you are not "Cared for". Frankly, no one person can meet that need. It takes the gift, the goodness, the grace of God to be set free from the nagging lie that you are not cared for.

“And by the time you have your own household with all your own bills, you can’t get off that track, because now you’ve got to make the money to pay your bills. It’s hard to find a partner in your late 40s to date because you also start losing self-confidence about your looks, your body. It’s not the same as it was in your 20s. You try to do what you can to make your life fulfilling. I have cats and dogs. But it’s lonely when you see your friends having children, going on vacations, planning the lives of their children, and you don’t do anything at night but come home to your cats and dogs. I don’t want other women to do what I have done.”

"Losing self-confidence about one's looks ..." Hmm. A woman has more value than based on her looks.

Proverbs:

"Favour [charm] is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised." (Proverbs 31:30)

Yes, beauty matters, but a wise man is not looking to marry a woman just because she is beautiful. Furthermore, there are more stories which I have read in which elderly men and women do get married. I met one such couple last week!

I asked, “Was it hard for you to make this call?”

She responded: “It was. I want to be anonymous because I don’t want people that I know to really know my true feelings. Because you do act like ‘My career is everything. I love working.’ But it’s a lie on the inside for me. It’s unfortunate. I didn’t realize this until it’s too late. I don’t know if it’s too late. I would like to find somebody to go on vacation with.

"It's a lie on the inside for me," this woman states. For other women, their calling may include not having children because the calling, the career of their choosing has taken them on different paths.

I submit that the problem here is the feminism which was ingrained into her, which she never questioned. It sounds to me that she was convinced that men were part of the problem in her life, and that marrying a man would have created problems for her down the line.

It's not wise to avoid marriage because of such considerations. What someone else tells you about an experience or status cannot be the final determination on the matter. It simply cannot. For women, this bad advice has an even more adverse effect, since a woman's options do not narrow considerably by a certain time in one's life. It is very rare for women to have children after 40 years of age, for example.

“You have other concerns when you get older and you live alone. Who’s going to take you to your medical appointments? If something should happen to you, there’s no other income there to help you. These are things you don’t understand when you’re in your 20s because you don’t think you’ll ever get old and have health problems.

This woman is full of cares. A husband alone cannot take care of those cares. She has it all wrong. Sadly, it sounds like this woman went from one extreme of "I don't want to get married", to "I need a man, but now I cannot get a man because X, Y, Z, etc.")

“I’m stuck now because I go to work every day. I smile like I love it, but it’s very painful to not plan a vacation with someone. It’s painful to not have a Thanksgiving dinner with someone. You sit home alone and you do nothing. I avoid my friends now that have children because I have nothing in common with them.

Now we have the deeper diagnosis. She is jealous. She is playing the comparison game. Dennis Prager has a video for that:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MPG-aLD-EY

“Somebody asked me the other day, ‘Why did you stay single and never have kids?’ There’s answers: Because I was brainwashed by my mother into this. But it’s hard and it’s shameful to tell people, ‘I don’t know. I ran out of time.’

Now here's the point. The issue is that this woman went along with someone else's idea of what life is best. She didn't make the decisions for herself. The solution is not for her to get married. The issue is not about

“There’s not a good answer for it except ‘I was programmed to get into the workforce, compete with men and make money.’ Supposedly, that would be a fulfilling life. But I was told that by a feminist mother who was divorced, who hated her husband — my father.

Wow. More issues come to the forefront. A troubled home, no father, a broken family. Such pain that causes. She would like all of that restored or replaced, most likely. Being married would not fix that hurt, however.

Marriage is supposed to enhance your life, not complete it. I learned that from a Divorce Court Judge ... in fact THE Divorce Court Judge Mablean Ephraim:

“She tried to steer me on what she thought was the right path, but feminism is a lie. That’s what I want women to know.

There. That is the real issue. The ideology of radical feminism is the biggest issue for this lady. She missed out on having children, but she should not feel as though the rest of her life is lost becaus she did not marry or have children.

“I didn’t realize this until late in life. I want to tell women: Find someone in your 20s. That’s when you’re still very cute. That’s when you’re still amiable to working out problems with someone. It’s harder in your 50s, when you’ve lived alone, to compromise with someone, to have someone in your home and every little thing about them annoys you because you’re so used to being alone. It’s hard to undo that, so don’t do what I did. Find someone in your 20s.”

She has too many globalized ideas. "I will never find someone now that I am older" seems to be the gist of her comments. How does she know that? God opens doors and closes doors. It's not like all her best options are gone just because she may not be able to bear children.

Consider Sarah:

"And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken." (Genesis 21:1)

From this blessed example, Isaiah prophesies great blessing and honor even for the most barren among us:

"1Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

2Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;" (Isaiah 54:1-2)

And why?

"For more are the children of the desolate than the married woman, says the Lord."

God is in the business of blessing us, restoring us even in the midst of our worst times.

Final Reflection

Dennis Prager's musing often are quite insightful and beneficial. I have learned a great deal from his Prager U videos.

When it comes to marriage and life, however, he misses the mark.

And there was more to plumb in this Career Woman's life than originally revealed.

If a woman makes a choice to remain single based on affirmative goals and personal experience,  there is nothing wrong with that. The issue ultimately is not that she rejected getting married at 20 or older, but that she is looking at her happiness outside of herself.

Marriage does not answer every need. On their surfaces, single life or married life presents blessings and challenges. The true blessing, the real challenge comes into play for which choices people make based on their individual lives, learnings, and leanings.

Let's hope that more people, men and women, make better choices for themselves based on a plenary review of many ideas, not just following a set of dogmas coming from one's parents.

By the way, here's an article from another 50-something career woman who chose not to have children and does not regret it!
