Argonaut News: Where is Congressman Ted Lieu?

When Congressman Lieu first ran for office, he released a federal survey along with three main legislative priorities: protecting Social Security and Medicare, fighting “climate change”, and caring for our veterans. The survey focused on gun control, national security, and the refugee crisis, as well as entitlements.

About the entitlements, no well-thinking politician can believe that the United States federal government can continue to honor overgenerous promises for government-subsidized healthcare. The entitlement budget is eating up the vast and growing majority of our country’s funding. We need entitlement reform, not the pandering status quo. Whatever Americans paid in, they need to receive back. All remaining government subsidies should be removed from the federal government and returned to the states.
As for climate change, why does Lieu deny science? The country has endured unprecedented cold fronts and heat waves in wavering cycles for decades, even centuries. A recent, unprecedented expansion of ice in the Arctic Circle proves that climate change is a natural phenomenon, and our government’s overheated attention is unwarranted.
Regarding care for military personnel, when will Congressman Lieu appear in photo-ops with homeless veterans? How about meeting with the friends and families of those who have lost their lives to criminal illegal aliens in our country? As a newly promoted colonel in the Air Force Reserves, Congressman Lieu should focus on national security and fiscal discipline. Lieu should press for enforcement of our existing laws, which prosecute gun violence and secure our borders against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
