The Torrance DEMOCRATIC Club Endorses Two Republicans for City Council

Yes, it's true.

The Torrance Democratic Club must be in dire straits if they have to go out of their way to endorse REPUBLICANS for city council.

What? Aren't there any decent Democrats who could run for city council or for mayor?

Apparently not!

After all, Torrance Democratic Club President Jimmy Gow has run for office twice--2018 and 2022--and both times he got slaughtered. He ended up in last place during the last at-large election for city council. In 2022, he placed third in a field of four candidates for District One!

As for mayor, couldn't the club have pressured Asam Sheikh or Bridgett Lewis to run?

Kalani has served on the city council since 2020, so there is an "experience" issue.

But still, why would a local Democratic club cave like this and let Republicans walk away with two seats on the Torrance City Council? Are they moving to the right?
