SB 54 will be one of the first items after the City Council's Consent Agenda item. Show up early, the radical open borders liberal left will. We will have signs and will settle for nothing less than out right opposition to this Public Safety, Unconstitutional menace.
It is a Public Safety issue caused by illegal immigration, NOT an illegal immigration issue. SB 54 and Sanctuary type policies are designed to protect convicted criminals and expand the voting base of the left.
Jerry Brown and the Super Majority of Democrats specifically voted to reduce several violent felonies to misdemeanors, He then reduced sentencing to 364 days to avoid remanding criminal alien prisoners to ICE custody. Instead of deporting the most evil and violent criminal illegal aliens, they are given a free pass to stay and threaten our communities. Including other's here illegally that have fled this criminal element and are equally preyed upon. Again, this is a PUBLIC SAFETY issue. The City Council may try to say that their police do work with ICE, or that its not in their jurisdiction, that it should be taken up with the State or the Federal Government.
It is all lies or misdirection intended to seek a political lifeline and avoid taking a position on the importance of the safety of our communities and opposing these reckless, radical policies.
Please be there to take a stand. If not you, then who? If not now, then when? This is our time, the more these matters go unchallenged, the worse it will get. It is time to push back.
(San Bernardino County, Calif) - Today the Redlands Tea Party Patriots, one of the largest activist groups in the Inland EMpire based in South San Bernardino County announced their endorsement of Andrew Kotyuk for Assembly.
"The Redlands Tea Party Patriots cabinet endorses Andrew Kotyuk as the candidate with the best chance of “repealing and replacing” Chad Mayes." said RTTP President Greg Brittain. His statement went on to say "The filing deadline is March 9. If you agree with our analysis and decision, we suggest you go to Gary Jeandron’s Facebook page and urge him not to run for the good of the cause.
"The Redlands Tea Party Patriot's regularly draw over 200 members to its meetings, their numbers and involvement is quite impressive." said Kotyuk. "Their vetting process took place over several months and was very stringent. As the largest activist organization in the District I am honored to have their support and fight together to Make California Golden Again."
Andrew Kotyuk is running for California State Assembly in the 42nd District. A U.S. Navy veteran and successful small businessman, he was elected to the San Jacinto City Council in 2010 and twice served as Mayor. Through his leadership, he and his colleagues helped steer the City back onto firm financial footing after a fiscal crisis triggered by the Great Recession, and a scandal in which four members of the Council were indicted. Andrew is a strong fiscal conservative and has signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. He’s running to “Repeal and Replace” embattled Assemblyman Chad Mayes.
(San Jacinto, Calif.) – Nine elected Republican officials from eight different cities have announced their support in the 42nd Assembly District for San Jacinto Council Member Andrew Kotyuk for State Assembly over the incumbent, Chad Mayes. Mayes, who was removed as Republican Leader and censured by the Riverside and San Bernardino Republican Central Committees, joined Governor Jerry Brown and Assembly Democrats in passing a very unpopular “Cap & Trade” law.
“The best thing for this community is to get this man to Sacramento,” said Crystal Ruiz, the new Mayor for San Jacinto.
Matt Liesemeyer, Mayor Pro Tem of Menifee, said, “I believe Andrew’s leadership can go a long way to help restore what’s missing in Sacramento.”
“Local elected leaders understand better than anyone the challenges our communities face in providing the services taxpayers expect of us while being forced to take on more and more of the responsibilities of the State,” said Kotyuk. “We are being asked to do more, from housing criminals in local jails, to maintaining our roads and infrastructure, to taking care of a growing homeless population.”
Continued Kotyuk, “Meanwhile, the State spends its time picking fights with the Trump Administration, establishing illegal immigrant “sanctuaries,” spending billions on liberal vanity projects like the “Bullet Train to Nowhere,” raising taxes to the highest in the nation, and embracing job-killing “Cap & Trade” policies. It’s time to focus on doing the job elected to do rather than spend more and more of taxpayers’ money on progressive fantasies.”
“We elected Chad Mayes to be our voice in Sacramento but instead, he’s become Jerry Brown and Assembly Democrats go-to Republican while betraying the people who elected him. It’s time to repeal and replace Chad Mayes,” said Kotyuk.
Andrew Kotyuk is a conservative reformer running for State Assembly. He is a successful small businessman and U.S. Navy veteran elected to the San Jacinto City Council in 2010. As a councilmember, he’s helped steer the city back to firm financial footing after indictments and scandal caused economic and political chaos which resulted in a $4 million budget deficit. He’s been a leader on regional transportation issues and a trusted conservative opposing new taxes and cutting government spending. Kotyuk was born and raised in the 42nd District, graduated from Cal State San Bernardino, and is CIMA certified by the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Andrew lives in San Jacinto with his wife, Amanda, and their three children.
The highlight of the Riverside Republican Assembly Meeting took place towards the end.
The candidates all lined up on stage for final comments.
All of them gave very generic statements on the #1 issue why they were running for office.
Not one of them mentioned the most important issue, an issue which President Trump hammered repeatedly on the campaign trail for President last year.
And I brought it up:
The #1 issue is illegal immigration!
If Republican candidates running for office cannot comment on illegal immigration before a conservative club, then they have no business running for office.
A lot of people in the audience applauded my statement on that issue.
In fact, every one of the candidates spoke out on this contentious issue. That really lit a fire under the butts.
Andrew Kotyuk was the first to take up the challenge. As councilman on San Jacinto City Council, he wanted to issue two resolutions against DACA and sanctuary city policies. I was really impressed to hear about that.
Then others spoke out about immigration.
I was really impressed with some of the responses, especially from Aja Smith, who talked about the misuse of the 14th Amendment to benefit illegal aliens, when it was designed to ensure citizenship for black slaves an no one else.
Smith also mentioned the slow creep of Sharia Law and her vocal opposition to it. Not to be ignored, Doug Shepherd stepped up and announced his stance on this issue. "I support the President's agenda. I support the wall." I was really impressed that he stood his ground on fighting terrorism ... when he spoke to adherents at a mosque in Riverside. "Are you willing to denounce terrorism" he asked to the members of the mosque. Incredible!
The candidates got really fired up!
Smith had her views on the subject, and she wanted more than just a wall along the southern border.
Doug Shepherd told me that it was a good question or a good point, too.
