I don't feel married -- most newlyweds say this the first week or month of marriage.
The parents usually tell them gently, or grab them by the shoulders and shake them to their senses:
"But you are married."
Dr. Murray's self-piteous admission is another dysfunction of our modern media culture.
We have substituted truth for expediency, morality with feeling.
If a man does not feel guilty, therefore he is not guilty, regardless of the thoughtless or egregious actions which a person has undertaken.
Guilt is determined by facts in a court of law, not impressions in the court of public opinion. It makes little difference how the accused may feel about his actions, or even his state of mind during the incident in question.
