Letter to the Editor: "Donald Trump is by far the worst president in US history"

 

Some of these letters make me laugh out loud. They can talk about how bad Trump is all 

they want and I don't care. 

So much rambling implies emotion more than reason, i.e. wokeness on steroids.

I hope you get as much of a laugh out of this as I did.

Dear Mr. Schaper :    Pardon me for being  brutally frank ,  but  your  hymn of  praise to  Trump in Town Hall   today  is  mind-bogglingly  stupid !

Donald  Trump is by far the worst president  in  US history .  None of  our previous chief executives

 has ever come remotely  close to  doing  a job  as  atrocious as  the mango Mussolini  has been doing.    He is the  most corrupt, incompetent ,  clueless , inept ,  unfit, unqualified ,  unethical ,  unprincipled ,

self-serving ,  mendacious ,  abysmally stupid ,  ignorant , phony ,amoral ,  unprepared ,  dishonest ,  conniving,  manipulative  ,    malicious ,

unwise ,  greedy,  ruthless ,  hypocritical , unworthy , undignified ,  boorish ,  vulgar ,  crass ,  indiscrete ,  undisciplined ,  reckless ,  asinine ,

unintentionally  funny ,  embarrassing ,   cringe-inducing ,lazy , cynical ,  worthless ,  childish ,  petty,  vindictive ,  humorless ,  thin- skinned ,  whining ,

   Donald  Trump is a total scoundrel   without a  shred of courage ,  humility ,  self  control ,  discipline ,  sound  judgment ,   ability  to  take any  responsibility  for his  countless   crimes and  misdeeds not only as  president  ,  as a  businessman  and in  private life ,  a  dangerous  malignant  narcissistic  sociopath  and  a  pathological  liar .

     On  January 6,  2021 ,  he  committed the  worst act of  treason in  US history by  inciting  a   bloody insurrection in  Washington  with the  insane  goal of  having   himself   illegally and  unconstitutionally  reinstated as president  despite the  fact  that  he KNEW that  he  had  lost  the 2020  election  to Joe Biden  ,  who  was infinitely  better qualified to be  president  ,  did a vastly  better  job and  who is also an infinitely  better man  than  Trump  will ever be .

     Trump lied through his teeth,  claiming  with absolutely no evidence  that  the  Democrats  had allegedly  "stolen " the  election  from  him .

And  so  many  naive,  gullible and  clueless private citizens and  right-wing   extremist  bloggers and  commentators   believed  him and  still  do  .     Let's  face it :  Trump is nothing   but  a  glorified   con man  and   grifter  who  lied and  cheated his  way to being  elected  twice , aided and  abetted  by his  slimy  cronies in   the  private sector   and  assorted  GOP members of  congress .  His  first term weas awful enough but  his second   has been  far  worse .

      Trump  does not  believe in  Democracy ,  progress  ,  justice,  equality  and  rule of  law  and  has been using  the office of  the  presidency  not   to  serve the  American  people  but  to  enrich  himself   at   the expense of  those   he allegedly   serves .

      Trump is  a  power-hungry  would be  fascist  dictator  of  America   who has  abused  his  authority as  president  to  a  degree none of his  predecessors has ever come  even  remotely  close to  doing .    Even  worse , he is a  notorious  sexual  predator  who has actually  RAPED  numerous  women  and  actually  raped  girls as  young as 13 !   on  the  private island  owned  by  his late, unlamented  pal  Jeffrey  Epstein .

   We  now  have   pedophile  in  the  White House  !      Trump  was also  probably  the  most   corrupt,  reckless and wasteful  businessman  in  the  history  of  business  in   America ,

    He has never had a  single  successful  business  and  all of  his casinos  went  under  .     Approximately  1,500 lawsuits  have  been  filed against  him  and as a housing   developer in  New York  he  discriminated  against  blacks  who  sought to  buy homes  from  him  and  was sued  by  them .

     Trump  opened up  the  bogus  "Trump University " and  had to pay  millions  in  reparations .    I've  barely  scratched  the  surface  of  all the  terrible  things  has  done  over the  years .   Richard  Nixon  was a  president  who  became  a  criminal .   Donald  Trump is  a  criminal  who  became  a  president   .

     And   since  January  2025  Trump has   done a staggering  amount  of  damage to the  US economy  while  claiming  it  is now  better  than  ever   .  His idiotic  tariffs  have  not  only  caused  economic  catastrophes  in the  US  but  worldwide  .

He IS responsible  for  the   impossibly  high  prices of  gasoline and  groceries  etc .   

     Trump's illegal  ,  unconstitutional ,  disastrous and  idiotic  war  on  Iran  has caused  the  Strait of  Hormuz  to  be  closed  .    And  Iran  does  is nowhere near  having   nuclear  weapons  .    This is  barely  the tip of  the iceberg  when  it  comes to all  the  ways  the  criminal  Trump  regime  has  been  screwing  up  America  and  the  world   .

    The  Trump  cabinet ,  staff  and  advisors  are  a  collection of  some of  the  worst  people  in  America .  Trump  did  not  choose  them  based on their  qualifications ,   experience  and  abilities  but  because  he  knew  they  would  be  nothing   but  his  derriere-kissing  yes men and  women  .   

     Stephen  Miller ,   Tom Homan,   Kash Patel , Pete Hegseth  ,   Todd Blanche ,  RFK Jr and  the  others  ?     This is  the  worst presidential  team  ever .   

     And  there are absolutely  no  "communists "  in  the  Democratic  party or the  Democratic  Socialists  of  America .    Mayor  Mamdani .   Joe  Biden ,   Kamala Harris ,   Barack and    Michelle  Obama,  Bill and  Hillary  Clinton  ,   Chuck  Schumer ,  Alexandria Ocasio -Cortez  and Bernie  Sanders  ?     Not  communists at all  .     The  Democratic  party  doesn't  even have a  far  left  wing .

    But  the  Republicans ,  whom  I  call the  REPUGNICAN  party a.k.a .  the    GOP  ( gross old  perverts )  has gone  so  far to the  right  it   only  makes  the  Democrats  kook  far  left in  comparison  to  many  Americans .     The  GOP has hit rock  bottom  and  there is  not  a  single  person in it anymore with  any   brains, decency ,   integrity ,   common  sense  ,  competence  or   wisdom .

     And it's  absolutely  terrifying  to  realize  that  the  party  does  not  have  a  single  potential    presidential  candidate  who  would  be an  improvement  over  Trump .  There is  hardly a single  Republican  who  does not  belong  either in  prison ,  a  mental institution or  a home  for the  retarded ,'

     Trump is no more fit  to  be  president  than a   severely  retarded person is  qualified  to  teach  nuclear  physics at  Harvard  or  MIT .    Furthermore  ,  what  little mind  he  had to begin with  has been destroyed  by  dementia .     

     Instead  of  speaking  intelligently and  coherently  ,     Trump  babbles  idiotically  .    Why  are so  many  Americans   blind  to  this   obvious   fact ?   His   recent  speech at  the  UN  was  a   self-congratulatory  pack  of   lies    No one  among   the   audience  of   diplomats  could  take anything  he  said  seriously  .    

      Trump  should  never even have  been  allowed to  rub  for  president  in  2024 ,  or  2020 and  2016 .     He  belongs  in  a   mental institution,  not  the  White  House .  but  the  Republicans  in  congress have  been  protecting  him  for  ten  years  .

     I don't  know  about  you but  I  don't  hate  Trump .   I   FEAR him .    And  so  do  millions of  other  Americans  ,  including  so   many   Americans  who have always  voted   Republican  but  now  realize  how incredibly  foolish    they  were .

     Please excuse  this  very long  email,  but  I  had   to  say all these  things  .  PLEASE -  wake up !      Donald  Trump is an existential  threat  not only  to  the  US  but the entire  planet ,

Election 2028: Democrats' Best Chance Is Josh Shapiro

 

Election Day 2026, the Democrats will focus everything on Election 2028. They must win the presidency, or their relevance as a national party will collapse. Besides, the pundits will be jabbering about the line-up, and some candidates will announce their bid in January or February 2027. That’s the tradition, especially after Trump launched his ultimately successful re-election bid following the 2022 midterms.

Democrats are on the chopping block, and it’s now or never. Do they have a chance of capitalizing on voter anger with higher gas prices and stubborn inflation? Will Trump’s party falter in 2026, creating an opening for them to give the public another choice? Voters are still clamoring about affordability issues, and Trump Derangement Syndrome has barely abated, even among some Republicans.

I outlined a general field of candidates who could compete in 2028. I took another look at California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Now it’s time to sound the alarm about Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

He will likely win re-election by double digits, making him a quality candidate.

He has served in many levels of state government, including deputy speaker of the House, Attorney General, as well as governor.

Shapiro has reliably won statewide elections in a swing state, one which Democrats had kept in their presidential column for thirty years, until Trump flipped working-class Democratic voters to the GOP. Democrats need to accept the harsh reality of shifting Keystone State politics. Voter registration continues trending GOP, and more GOP candidates are winning statewide races. Aside from Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Republicans hold nearly every statewide office. They still control the state senate, and they are two seats away from retaking the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

If these facts don’t help, National Democrats cannot ignore Dave McCormick’s impressive defeat of the long-established Democratic Casey machine to become the next US Senator. Senior senator John Fetterman is moving closer to the GOP every day, too, having recently spoken at their mid-term convention in Dallas, and will either switch parties in 2028 or drop out.

Democrats need a Democrat who can compete and win in swing states like Pennsylvania. How could they not endorse Shapiro?

The AG-turned-government slaughtered the Republican nominee in 2022 by 14 points, and he’s on track to win by a wider margin this year. I made phone calls for his Republican opponent in 2022, and I was stunned by the number of Republican voters—yes, the same MAGA types who supported Trump in 2016 and 2020—who refused to vote for the GOP nominee.

At least 15% of Pennsylvania’s Republican/MAGA vote pulled the lever for Shapiro. Democrats need that kind of candidate to win nationally in 2028.

He has a long record of bipartisanship, having served under a moderate Republican statehouse speaker because a slim Democratic majority could not agree on a Democratic Speaker.

Governor Shapiro has maintained a broad bipartisan record as governor, as well. He kept the Republican Secretary of State. Of course, state law requires a two-thirds vote of support from the Republican-controlled State Senate, although the PA GOP does not have a supermajority in that chamber. He could have nominated a more liberal candidate, but he went along with the Republican incumbent to avoid the political drama.

Shapiro has demonstrated decent leadership as chief executive, while other potential Democratic contenders must contend with records of corruption, malfeasance, and failure (Newsom, Whitmer, Pritzker, etc.). The Pennsylvania governor has gained plaudits for fixing roads and bridges quickly, including a notorious breakdown of the I-95, which he restored to full operation in 12 days by coordinating efforts from local, state, and federal forces and resources. This kind of bread-and-butter competence can attract run-of-the-mill voters looking for normalcy but who don’t want to vote GOP.

Unlike his liberal peers, Shapiro has a committed record to public safety. As Attorney General, he focused on getting guns out of the hands of criminals, as opposed to criminalizing law-abiding gun owners. He openly sparred with Philadelphia’s George Soros-backed District Attorney Larry Krasner, who has spent most of his tenure treating criminals better than police officers and taxpayers.

Shapiro has also handled crises with leadership and professionalism. The 2018 Tree of Life Synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh was the largest anti-Semitic terrorist attack in U.S. history. As Attorney General, he took charge quickly and efficiently, ensuring not only restored public safety, but also swift justice and retribution against the mass murderer.

When President Trump was nearly assassinated in Butler, PA, Shapiro did not play partisan antagonist or indifferent executive. He worked closely with local and federal offices, including Republicans, to ensure everyone’s safety, to review the security failures, and to provide better security measures in the future.

Shapiro has signed off on corporate and property tax cuts; he has streamlined licensure regulations so that licensed professionals can enter the state job market faster with less hassle.  He has labeled himself an “all of the above” energy governor, supporting expansion of natural gas and nuclear energy, and he has withdrawn from regional climate change agreements. He even supports fracking, a position that US Senator John Fetterman had opposed and then pivoted on during this 2022 campaign.

Showing further pragmatism on recent issues, Shapiro has advocated a broader, more open stance on data centers, showing some agreement with President Trump. He wants proper regulations to avoid heavy resource costs on ratepayers, but he also seeks economic opportunity and business expansion for his state.

He’s still a liberal when it comes to LGBT issues, abortion, and guns, so he’s a Democrat, and those positions will lend him support in the Democratic primary.

Here are the liabilities facing Shapiro, should he throw his hat in the ring:

1.      He’s Jewish, and he served as a volunteer in Israel

The Democratic Party is embracing anti-Semitism with a self-destructive terrorist ferocity. Shapiro could push himself as an outsider with the inside knowledge to win elections at the national level, but can he overcome the Pro-Palestinian militants?

2.      His bipartisanship

His record of working across the aisle could kill his chances with the Democratic grassroots. Shapiro’s reform record on education will dampen his support from key Democratic constituency teachers' unions. Although he recently cut out funding for Pennsylvania’s school choice programs, national teachers' unions may not forgive his record.

3.      His no-drama competence

Sadly, all the merits that would make Shapiro competitive, even dangerous for Republicans in a general election would stymie his rise in the primary. Bernie Bros, the DSA, and angry progressives looking to destroy anything with a hint of conservatism or alignment with Trump will rally against Shapiro. Former Vice President Kamala Harris didn’t select him as her VP nominee because of the growing pro-Palestine propaganda and mobocracy taking over the Democratic Party. That has not changed.

In the next two years, however, enough grassroots leaders, consultants, and political pundits might have the power and sway to convince Democratic voters to back away from the Woke craziness of AOC, Bernie Sanders, and Hasan Piker.  If the 2026 Elections are a dud for the Democratic Party, Shapiro can capitalize on the DSA-based failures and make a call for moving to the middle and establishing a Democratic Party that can compete in all fifty states again.

No Matter How High the Gas Prices, I Won’t Let Communists Win

 

Yes, the gas prices are high, but I live in California, where gas prices are always going to be higher than the rest of the country. I don't blame President Trump, nor do I blame the conflict in Iran. If Iran wasn't trying to blow us up in a nuclear holocaust, then there would have been no reason for the United States to attack them! California shut down two refineries, and they add taxes and fees on top of more taxes and fees. Don’t scream at Trump, blue state residents. Blame your own incompetent state governments!

Am I happy about the inflation? No. 3% inflation is bad. This is a problem of federal overspending, and I don't think that President Trump's $5,000 dividend proposal is any good. If he's joking, it's still not a great idea. There’s a better way to give us money: let us keep what we already earn. Congress can cut a trillion and a half out of the budget, and then give all of the taxpaying Americans a $5,000 rebate from our 2026 tax returns.

Affordability, housing costs, wars and rumors of wars: the doomers, the blackpillers, the corporate media, the Democrats and their academic acolytes, all want us to focus on what is wrong or bad. They want their communist pals to get elected up and down the ticket this November.

We must not let some setbacks distract us from the great work that Trump and team have accomplished.

President Trump is doing so much good that I can let the little stuff go. The fact that we have illegals fleeing our country, that Visa overstays are getting kicked out, that immigrants who came in legally but caused nothing but trouble are being deported as well, and the fact that President Trump is standing tall and fighting for America makes me so proud to support him and the Republican ticket going into Election 2026. 

I'm sick and tired of listening to Americans b**** and moan about how much the gas is. Maybe they should talk to someone who drove their first car in the 1970s, when the OPEC-driven gas shortages were so acute that people could only go to gas stations depending on certain days and whether they had a number or a letter at the end of their license plate. President Trump has been playing 4-D chess when it comes to ensuring energy dominance and stability, protecting American prestige, securing our interests, and advancing our future. Trump took out Venezuelan narco-dictator Nicolas Maduro, then scored an excellent oil deal with the new leadership of the Latin American Communist hellhole, soon to be free to a republic once again. Trump has put Cuba on its heels and forced them to their knees. Mexico is no longer bailing out bad actors in the Caribbean and helping us defeat the drug cartels, too.

President Trump gave a great presentation of American greatness at the UN last week. I normally don't watch the UN speeches, but I listened to everything he said on September 23, 2026, and I applaud everything. He stood up to Iran—to their faces; he denounced Cuba, and the communist delegation saved face by walking out in shame; he stood up for American sovereignty once again, and he asserted clearly that there is no right to illegal immigration, but there is a right for nations to assert their sovereignty. 

I voted for all of this. I loved that he’s doubling down on why we elected him in 2024, and he’s not allowing some bad polling or nasty press to stop him from doing what is best.

The general public, including the conservative commentary class, is not paying enough attention to the massive rightward shift overtaking Latin America. For the first time in decades, the American President enjoys considerable, consummate allies at the UN from throughout the Americas. From Argentina to Ecuador, and now including a traditional catholic president of Colombia openly allying with us and fighting transnational drug cartels, we have allies helping us in our fight to protect our country, and you can bet your bottom dollar (or peso) that they're stopping the flow of mass immigration to our country. Canada is the only country not getting along with us right now, but that will change soon. 

Look at the major win that President Trump scored with Greenland! We get all of the power, we get to call the shots, we get to maintain our military presence, and we cut off hostile nations both to the west and to the NATO alliance. That means China and Russia don't get to call dibs or take advantage of the mineral deposits in Greenland. Frankly, I would have had no problem incorporating that massive territory into the American sphere as a commonwealth along with Puerto Rico or Guam. But President Trump is making the best deals to do what will serve our country for the long term.

Also at the UN, the conservative president of Paraguay, after ending sex mutilation of minors in his country, declared that Latin America must stop depending on the United States to do all the work for them. Have we not been praying for this day? The whole world has viewed the United States as the Battered Women's Shelter of the World or the Backup Plan for every failed State and for the voters in these countries who insisted on voting for those failed politicians. Sovereign countries around the world are taking responsibility for their defense, their sovereignty, their culture, and their future. WINNING!

I voted for all of this. No matter the domestic disturbances or disappointments that we face stateside, we should not ignore the fact that Trump 2.0 far exceeds not just his first term, but the terms of all the Republican and certainly Democratic presidents who have governed our country since the end of World War II. 

Because of this incredible success at the domestic level, the cleaning out of the federal government, the ending of mass immigration, the increase in respect and sovereignty for our country, plus the fact that wages are rising and poverty has plummeted across the nation, I have no problem voting for the Republican ticket up and down the ballot. 

We shouldn't just be motivated by what makes us glad, but we need to pay attention to what we're running against. From a twinky, flimsy, fake Christian playing pastor running against an effective attorney general in Texas, to an accomplished former congressman running against a pro-jihad militant in Michigan, we've got crazy Communists gunning for power all over the country.  I don't care how high your gas bills may be; it will be nothing compared to the energy crisis and domestic destruction if communist Democrats take the levers of power in Congress and in state legislatures across the country.

Don’t worry about high gas prices now. The war will end. Right now, we must choose American success and continued sovereignty, or communist failure. Election 2026 is the most important election yet. Don’t sit out the vote and pout. Trump is doing great, and our country is improving. I'm going to make phone calls for candidates in California and abroad. You should as well.

Exposes why “red” states are run by liberal Republicans

Do you wonder why so many “red” states are run by liberal Republicans who keep getting elected? It’s been a big topic in conservative media this year. But we believe the RINO days are numbered.

RINO State Senator Jim Guthrie – the Idaho Legislature’s “hatchet man” against conservative bills

Idaho State Senator Jim Guthrie, one of the most powerful Republicans, is detested by grassroots conservatives. As chairman of the influential Senate State Affairs Committee, he is Governor Brad Little’s “hatchet man.”

Gov. Little, a RINO, does not want to have to sign conservative bills into law. Senator Guthrie keeps good conservative legislation from seeing the light of day – especially bills that have passed the House. Since they never get passed by both branches, Gov. Little is relieved of the pressure of having to sign them.

Bills dealing with illegal immigration, abortion, the transgender agenda, etc., are stopped in Guthrie’s committee. For example, two years in a row the Idaho House passed our MassResistance Resolution urging the overturn of the Obergefell “gay marriage” ruling. But both years, it died in Guthrie’s Senate committee.

Guthrie advertises himself to his constituents as a “strong conservative.” But by most accounts, his voting record is to the left of many Democrats in the legislature.

David Worley takes on Guthrie in the GOP primary

In 2023, David Worley helped lead our chapter in Pocatello, Idaho. Parents there were outraged over the hundreds of repulsive pornographic books in the public library. He helped them fight back. In 2024, as an Idaho National Guard officer, he stood by his principles and opposed the LGBT agenda in the National Guard in a high-profile religious discrimination lawsuit.

In 2023, David Worley led an impromptu "Town Hall" with MassResistance parents in the library board meeting room after the board refused to show up for its own meeting and face criticism over the obscene children's books.

This year, David decided to take on Guthrie in the Republican primary held on May 19. David had earlier run for Mayor of Pocatello and so had some name recognition. He is smart, principled, and fearless - and a tireless campaigner.

David did not mince words on his three top issues:

1. Christian values in the schools: Take out the poisonous abortion, homosexual, and transgender agendas completely.
2. Illegal Immigration: Real action needs to be taken.
3. Guthrie’s sellout of his constituents in his prominent anti-conservative activity in the Senate.

These three issues directly confronted the corporate and leftist status quo in Idaho. And it was becoming clear that David was getting traction with the people in the district.

Unbelievably massive attack campaign against David

Apparently, the establishment could see David was not some ordinary guy that Guthrie could easily beat. They had to keep this seat. So they did a ramped-up version of what they probably do everywhere.

Idaho’s major RINO politicians publicly endorsed Guthrie: the Governor, Lt. Governor, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Secretary of State, and State Controller. (But the Idaho Attorney General, Raul Labrador, stood up and endorsed Worley, as did grassroots conservatives across the state.)

The status quo forces came together and launched a massive attack campaign against Worley.

Nobody in the district had ever seen anything like it. The district was saturated with anti-Worley messages. Voters were subjected to:

• Multiple anti-Worley mailings each day, with messages specifically tailored to their demographic (rural, city, etc.)
• Huge TV blitz: You couldn’t walk into a sports bar without seeing constant anti-Worley commercials on all the TVs.
• Big radio blitz. It seemed like every radio station had anti-Worley ads.
• A barrage of targeted text messaging.
• A flood of carefully targeted ads and messages on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and other social media.

This attack mailing - which distorts David's true record - was sent out by the agriculture lobby, which wants to keep illegal immigration in place.

This mailing, which paints Guthrie as "supporting local farmers" was sent out by the dairy lobby, which also wants to keep illegal immigration in place.

The dishonesty was breathtaking. The “PAC for Public Lands” (funded by pro-illegal immigration groups) repeatedly attacked David for being against “open spaces,” because he hadn't previously taken any position on that issue. But they knew he didn’t have the funds to counter it.

This "PAC for Public Lands" mailing implies David is against preserving "open spaces."

David’s campaign budget was a fraction of that against him. He ended up raising about $60,000 - mostly from individual donors. State pro-family PACs from Idaho and around the country spent about $90,000 helping him.

There were some pro-Worley mailings sent out. This one correctly informs the voters, "Guthrie voted against multiple conservative immigration bills and supports the radical transgender agenda on record."

Where did the RINO money and organizing come from?

In all, over half a million dollars was spent on this race, making it by far the most expensive Idaho primary of this election cycle. Most of the money, tactics, and organizing came from outside groups.

It was not just Planned Parenthood and the LGBT lobby attacking David. The massive corporate pro-illegal immigration lobby in Idaho – which includes big agriculture, construction, health care, hospitality, manufacturing, chambers of commerce, and other businesses – was a major funder of attacks on David. They are serious about keeping illegal immigration open, and Guthrie’s defeat would be a disaster for them. (They gladly team up with the Left on this issue – which wants illegal immigration to create Democrat voters.)

The construction industry sent this, telling voters that Guthrie has "a record of delivering results for District 28." Those "results" are stopping any bills that curb illegal immigration!

Of course, the public wasn’t aware of who was really behind much of this, because the industries and lobbying groups hid their donations behind layers of phony conservative-sounding PACS such as “Defend and Protect Idaho.”

This was sent to voters from the "Idaho Prosperity Fund," which is a front for the construction industry.

Gov. Little controls the “Idaho Liberty PAC,” which also provided huge funding and coordination against David. That phony “conservative” PAC exists to keep real conservative legislation from getting passed, and is generously funded by corporations, RINO donors, and leftists.

Guthrie refused to debate David

Even though they obviously considered David a serious challenger, Guthrie refused to debate him face-to-face. The obvious reason is that it would have given David an opportunity to rebut all the lies and distortions used to attack him. David showed up to scheduled radio and other debates anyway.

There were several “town hall” type public forums where both candidates answered questions, however, and David took full advantage of that.

In the end, even with all that enormous money and campaign power against him, David still came close to winning. Guthrie won by 53.3% (3,905 votes) to 46.7% (3,424 votes). David only lost by 481 votes.

It was actually a stunning and shocking near-upset against a huge RINO blitz. There’s a sense that people began to feel that if the Republican establishment is spending that much money to attack someone, he must be pretty special.

Final thoughts

Having talked with David afterwards, we have a feeling he will be back to run next time to close the gap and win. If anything, the establishment Republicans will need twice as much money to stop him!

There are two important lessons we can learn here.

First, a dedicated, principled individual can make a big difference. That’s why corrupt government and big business hate people like David Worley.

Second, make no mistake: If you’re wondering why “red” state politicians keep supporting the liberal agenda, what happened here is Exhibit A. This raw flexing of anti-conservative muscle is replicated across all “red” states in some fashion. Gov. Little’s sleazy “Idaho Liberty PAC” is an example of how blatant it can get. Regular people need to wake up, as they are starting to do in Idaho’s Senate District 28.

As Samuel Adams famously described, these are the kinds of “brush fires” that MassResistance is working to start everywhere.

Election 2028: Perhaps Gavin Newsom Has a Chance?

 

On September 14, 2026 (had to wait three days after the obligatory commemoration of 9/11), California lame-duck governor Gavin Newsom starred in another CNN puff piece, hosted by Jake Tapper, with a lake and fly-fishing tackle. And “Starred” is the word, since the whole operation was another well-constructed psy-op by the Constantly Not News network to prop up a Democratic candidate, complete with a sweeping, aerial opening panned out over a bucolic Montana plain, with some country music in the background.

Newsom starts with a lie: “I’ve no experience in this process [running for President], so I’m going through it.”

He was a spokesman for President Joe Biden in 2024. He knows what it takes to run for Preasident, and he’s been doing since 2023, hoping to get into Biden’s good graces (Angling for the VP slot perhaps?), then betting on Kamala crashing in November so that he could step in and save the Democratic Party.

The CNN set-up was clearly that: a set-up to prop up Newsom as a man of the people who can connect with working-class and middle-class voters. Why Montana, though? The state hasn’t voted for a Democratic Presidential candidate since 1992, and just fired its last Democratic statewide officeholder in 2024.

These corporate media commercials masquerading as news are nothing new. Newsom standing in water with a weak fishing line completed the fake package. The Tapper segment gave off the same vibes as Kamala Harris’ interview with CNN in February 2019, while she was trying on different coats. How about that news spot with US Senator John Kerry hunting in 2004?

It’s old papers to many pundits: Newsom is running for President.

What’s stunning is the unrelenting bravado. Newsom will never abandon this fantasy. He is defined by vanity, stoked for the last 16 years of statewide officeholding. How can he not plunge into this far-flung ambition for the Presidency?

Every major political office he has run for, he has gotten elected. 

No matter how destroyed or decrepit the state of California has become, Newsom is a legend in his own mind, and the phenomenally fawning media will always glow up the Democratic candidate, no matter how incompetent their record of governance. 

What is Newsom’s strategy here? He’s serious, even if the real world recognizes him as unserious. What does Gavin Newsom intend to accomplish as president, or what steps does he think will get him into the White House, despite the increased media attack on his leadership and his legacy? 

 

It all started with his 2023 debate with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Fox News host Sean Hannity engaged in some subtle (and clever) manipulation by offering some moderate to softball interviews to Gavin Newsom on his show earlier that year. At first, I thought that Hannity was losing his mind or he had sold out for easy ratings. Why was he giving interviews to allow Newsom a chance to make himself look good or even halfway decent? 

Then came the major selling point: Hannity was setting him up, not to look good, but to hold a debate against the governor of one of the reddest (and most successful) states in the union: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

The clash of executives would force into full relief the ultimate red-state v. blue-state comparison.

Based on the facts, the delivery, and the commitment to truth and decency, Governor DeSantis won the debate. However, Newsom wasn’t interested in winning a debate against a red-state governor in front of red-state voters. He was sharpening his media skills to spin, deceive, gaslight, and lie outright before a national audience and impress the Democratic voter base, establishment, and donor class that he's a flawless executive who can collect his thoughts and withstand all scrutiny with a smile. 

Like Tucker Carlson’s frequent schtick of straight-up lying about prior comments, even denouncing them once confronted with the record, Newsom can ignore reality, bend the truth, and attack opponents without breaking a sweat or losing his nerve. He is a practiced con artist, making all kinds of excuses for why California is falling apart. He highlights little progress in one area, while skillfully ignoring or covering up the legacy of failure before and after what little good he can play up.

In the words of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Gavin Newsom is a plastic Ken version of Patrick Bateman from American psycho. He can lie with impunity without breaking a sweat, fidgeting his hands, blinking his eyes, or turning away from the camera. 

This kind of psychopathology can play very well with the progressive voter base as he competes for the Election 2028 Democratic nomination. 

Governor Hair-Gel is ambitious, but he plays coy like a mad seducer.  In one example of covering his tracks (barely), he toys with the notion that other Democratic contenders have a chance of running and winning. During his staged photo-op with CNN’s Tapper, Newsom pledged to support Harris if she throws her hat in the ring again (I hope she does!).

Newsom recently interviewed cocaine aficionado and laptop loser and spoiled rich man Hunter Biden, who has worked the podcast circuit to rehabilitate himself (his image, not his habits) and probably raise money since Daddy doesn’t have the rich political connections anymore. Hunter delusionally thinks he has a chance at becoming president in 2028, too. Newsome gave free press to Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who has nothing but a train of awkward attempts to capitalize on President Trump's positive labor policies in the Rust Belt, while at the same time pretending that she doesn't know him. That photo up where she literally hid her face behind her folder in the oval office did her no favors. 

Is Newsom sweet-talking the bench, or sizing them up to intimidate them? He has positioned himself as an anti-Trump foil, even maintaining his political and ideological distance despite a few professional interactions with President Trump during the horrendous wildfires that devoured Northern California in 2019 and then in Southern California in 2025.

He is banking on just enough common sense in the Democratic grassroots to elect someone who is not a DSA crazy, but is still committed to an anti-Trump successor who has a broad resume of executive experience. 

If his latest gloss-up on CNN is an indicator, it shows that he's all manufactured and very little man. The coiffed head and gravelly voice got him far in California, but at the end of the day, he faces the same challenges as his former AG Kamala Harris. Living and working in a liberal echo chamber all his life, he has shown neither aptitude nor interest in reaching across the aisle or working with people of different backgrounds or political bent. A few photo-ops in Flyover America won’t remedy those deficits. 

Even if he won the Democratic Party nomination, he would have the same Harris drag down. The record of California dysfunction and collapse is too stark to ignore. No matter how deep the anti-Trump animus in the Democratic Party, the anti-democratic DSA grassroots have taken such a hold that they want someone fresh and vibrant with no establishment aftertaste. 

Newsome fails on those points. But who knows what could happen in two years?

Is It OK to Hate Canada Now?

On September 16, 2026, the Ontario Superior Court Justice Ann Molloy convicted a Christian activist named Bill Whatcott of “willful promotion of hatred.”

What did Bill do that was so hateful? With five fellow Christians, he dressed up as a gay zombie, complete with a green skin suit and tutu, then he passed out gospel tracts disguised as condom packages to the 2016 Toronto Pride parade attendees: a silly practical joke to share the Good News. For ten years, the Canadian government has pursued and persecuted Whatcott, believing that his little evangelical escapade was a greater affront to Canadian society than, say, homeless vagrants defecating on major city streets, the destructive spread of fentanyl, or the rise of other serious crimes. In 2024, the Toronto Police Chief advised residents to leave their car keys on their front porches to avoid harm or death in the face of the city’s epidemic of car theft.

In Canada, passing out Gospel tracts is the heinous crime that must be stamped out. Yes, you can go to jail for so-called “hate speech” in Canada, too. They don’t have freedom of speech in the Great White North, despite all their supposed claims and celebrations about a Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Those mere parchment guarantees guarantee nothing for the average Canadian citizen. For Christians, even less. Even Holocaust deniers have gone to jail in Canada, as well as critics of Islam. A Saskatchewan man went to jail for willful promotion of hatred against an unidentified identity group! No matter how vile or disconcerting someone’s speech may be, the proper remedy is more speech. For Canada, the answer is a jail cell, a complete violation of natural law and natural right.

The conviction of a Christian in a purported Western country, especially one outside of Europe (which has sadly maintained its own poor record on freedom of speech), is a travesty. It sickens me, and it should infuriate all of us.

My animus with Canada originates with the ongoing persecution of Mr. Whatcott, which I have written about before, but there is more reason for the rest of us to despise our northern neighbor. In 2021, Whatcott was actually declared “not guilty” of these thought-crimes! Unfortunately, unlike other Commonwealth nations, Canada permits double jeopardy. The Crown can appeal an acquittal and demand a retrial. This is insane. With such kangaroo (or bull moose?) justice, can any Canadian hope for justice if the government can keep appealing your acquittal? In theory, the government can persecute a suspect with vexatious litigation until the citizen calls it quits and goes to jail.

That is not justice.

Injustice reigns in Canada in other ways, as well.

There is no Second Amendment, so gun ownership is tenuous at best. The Justin Trudeau government issued a blanket gun confiscation scheme, and current prime minister Mark Carney has expanded on this tyranny. To their credit, some provincial governments have started pushing back, but by and large the country remains gun-shy. Despite the aversion to firearms, Canada has witnessed a disturbing increase in gun-related crimes. No kidding, eh?!

Every provincial government across the nation has also established Human Rights Tribunals, before which aggrieved citizens can drag their counterparts and demand compensation for offending them. The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal ordered Whatcott to pay $55,000 to a confused man wearing a dress because he called him a “he.” The same provincial tribunal fined McDonald’s for firing an employee because she had failed to wash his hands properly. One Human Rights case dragged on for twenty-three years! Only recently, a former chairman of one of these tribunals has begun sounding the alarm on their abuses. Too little, too late.

Their healthcare system is not just abysmal; it’s evil. Instead of care, you get a waitlist, or the option to end your life. The testimony of Donovan James and his wife Kristin, who is surviving and thriving despite Stage Four ovarian cancer, should chill and outrage all of us. The Canadian system told Donovan’s wife to choose MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying) instead of providing her adequate healthcare. The couple gave their government the middle finger and fled to America to live. Many Canadians do that, in fact, and there are plenty of reasons why. The wait times for a surgeon or a specialist are much longer in Canada. Michigan-born American commentator Steve Crowder’s expose of the rampant incompetence of the horrible healthcare system in Canada is entertaining if it wasn’t so devastating

Canada has been the most intransigent opponent of the United States. Last month, Vice President JD Vance remarked on the ongoing frustrations our leaders have faced just trying to work out a better trade deal with our northern neighbors. They won’t budge one bit towards better trade. They won’t negotiate in good faith with us, and they insist on keeping their Dairy Cartel and other heightened tariffs to protect their industries while shutting out our country’s goods.

Canada and its leaders have been growing closer to China, too, and even allowed their military to conduct training exercises! Canada is supposed to be our ally. Instead, they lock up Christians; they tell their citizens to tolerate crime; they offer death instead of healthcare; they fight us on trade while resisting our own national interests and reject cooperation.

Canada, a Frozen Banana Republic, and the voters are proud of this increasing hostility to the United States. After ten years of woke tyranny under Justin Trudeau, Carney repeated “Orange Man Bad” and bashed Trump, and Canadians went along with it. They have no problem voting to their own harm, just as long as they can retaliate against the United States.

The West is dying from Wokeness, the progressive leftist madness that insists on seeing disparities of any kind as discrimination, which treats absolute equality as the end goal of society, not the protection of citizens’ natural rights or even public safety. Canada is in the terminal stages of this morally bankrupt mind virus, and the citizens are proud of it! Canada officially sucks. Pardon my invective, but this wannabe runt cousin of the United States is just plain horrible. South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were onto something, after all!

I never thought I would have such an abiding disdain for a nation. Mexico deserves our opprobrium for the border controversies, but that country is a better trade partner whom President Trump has knuckled under to our advantage. China is the United States’ most militant adversary, yet that country does not pretend to be free or enlightened. The European Union and its member states have their own share of issues, but a rising populist, nationalist conservative movement is making headway across the continent, and even the more liberal interests across Europe are willing to work with Trump, since Europe needs our money and military aid.

There is no such thing as “Canada Nice.” There is no “nice” in its government, and it’s time for Western countries that care about the rule of law, individual liberty, and citizen sovereignty to stop being so nice with its leaders.
