THE other day I asked a pro-abortionist known also for her anti-gun activism, why does someone else owning a gun bother her or is any of her business? Without hesitation and with a smirk of confidence she replied, "Because guns kill."
If woke activist have taught us anything it is that those who cry intolerance the loudest, more often themselves are the most intolerant.
We see for example across the United States woke demands for LGBT special rights and privileges even over religious freedom. Yet, while one’s religious beliefs and ability to adhere to those beliefs are constitutionally protected; homosexuality including sexual orientation is not even a federally protected class.
The question then is even if someone is a homosexual but nevertheless an American, does that not mean they are already equal to everyone else under the Constitution and why then should they be granted special rights?
Across the nation today we are seeing college and university students blocking roads and being destructive while claiming Israel is committing genocide against the Palestine people. Yet, there is no more truth to that than when the United States and much of Europe fought the Nazis. Israel today is fighting the terrorist organization Hamas; similar to when our nation fought not the German people per se, but again the Nazis.
The real question then becomes why are these students pushing false claims and narratives to benefit and support a terrorist organization?
When it comes to "marriage" woke activist and LGBT have demanded change to the long traditional and God-given meaning of marriage, which is between a man and a woman, to include same-sex marriage and force acceptance of their demand change on everyone else.
The question for them then becomes why not be a builder rather than a tear-downer; why want to change "marriage" rather than create an equal identity calling it a "civil union" or another identity with all the same legal benefits and protections as a marriage?
It is a question MN-L since its beginning has been asking and seeking your help with, as none of us can do it alone.
I think woke activist have been as successful as they have in big part because too many of us have been on the defensive, rather than on the offensive leading with our own questions and not giving up.
The event described above in the first paragraph really did happen. My response was just one word, "exactly" and the thing is I think it went over her head that she did not get it.
(NOTE: A short and really good article, possibly the best explaining "intolerance" with a lot of useful material, titled "The Intolerance of the Intolerant" can be read here.
