Congressman Patrick Meehan (R-Pennsylvania) was on the House Ethics Committee.
Then it was revealed that he had issued a tax-payer funded payout of his own to a staffer, much younger than he, whom he had called his "soul-mate".
At first, despite this damaging revelation, Meehan insisted that he was going to seek re-election.
I tweeted out earlier today: "He needs to retire."

Within five hours of my tweet, Meehan announced that he was not going to seek re-election
That should have been a no-brainer.
It is pretty devastating how much sexual abuse, assault, and discomfort has overrun Washington DC.
It doesn't matter whether the #MeToo perversions were committed by a man or a woman, a Republican or a Democrat. Sexual abuse and misconduct must not be troubled.
Later, #MeToo Meehan!
