GOP infighting is bruising the Republicans' chances of taking back the White House.
President Obama had no record to run on by himself. ObamaCare is an albatross around the current president's neck. Dodd-Frank, stimulus dollars, and Wall Street scapegoating has not advanced the recovery that he had promised within the first month of his term in January, 2009.
Of course, the real infighting which has caused the most trouble for the GOP is the dueling dichotomy of Massachusetts Moderate vs. National Conservative compacted in one man: Mitt Romney. His vacillations in New England have instigated recriminations and suspicions throughout the country. Primary voters are wary; independents are interested with reservation; and Democrats are reserving their places throughout the Beltway for another four years.
If a brokered convention does break out in July, however, then perhaps a strong Vice-Presidential pick can cull necessary yet disillusioned voters to support a flip=flop moderate with a smaller version of ObamaCare dragging him down.
