Elizabeth Warren, Consumer watchdog (in truth, feckless bureaucrat) running for United States Senate in Massachusetts, had this to say when asked about incumbent Republican Senator Scott Brown's posing nude for Cosmopolitan magazine to earn money for college:
" [To pay for college:] I kept my clothes on!"
Warren's comment was silly, but witty, yet irrelevant, as was the question posed at a Democratic primary debate.
A local radio asked how Brown felt about Warren's remark.
Brown: "Thank God!"
Also silly, also witty, yet still irrelevant.
Can the Commonwealth of Massachusetts now get back to the issues at hand?
Elizabeth Warren sure doesn't want to!
She may have kept her clothes on to get to college, but when it comes to running for office and serving constituents, she's an empty suit, or one could better argue, a would-be pol with no clothes on!
She has never run for statewide office in the Bay State.
She is a disgruntled elitist, a Havard professor in the miserable mold of the previous Democratic challenger in 2010, Attorney General Martha Coakley. She is part and parcel part of the widespread, Obama juggernaut which has assaulted this country, stalling growth and stagnating economic recovery.
Scott Brown worked his way out of dysfunction and poverty, excelling in the military and the legal profession before serving as Massachusetts state senator.
While the Democrats hid under awnings and the shadow of the current Elitist-in-Chief, Brown went out to meet constituents, gather opinions, hear concerns, and get votes. No wonder he is one of Ole Mass's most popular politicians.
And he did what he was sent to do. Massachusetts has RomneyCare; they don't need another medical insurance mandate. Brown stopped ObamaCare in the Senate as best he could, providing the crucial 41st vote. It may not have stopped that law's unlawful passage, but he will facilitate its repeal.
Brown's nude made have made headlines before, but his service to his state and his country is making headlines all over the country, even here in Southern California.
I may not agree with some of his political views, but I prefer legislator who pays attention to the needs of the voters as opposed to one taking orders from the Beltway.
