The People for the American Way, a left-wing interest/activist group, wants to stop Donald Trump because he poses a threat to American Democracy.
What? And Hillary doesn't?
The Democratic National Committee used every trick in the book to prop up the "first woman" presidential contender.
They booked the worst times for debates.
They deliberated manipulated everything that could be manipulated in order to get Hillary Clinton the nomination.
Coin flips in Iowa?
Nevada Democratic Party convention shuts down Bernie supporters and rules them out of order?
How many people have died or terminated because they questioned Hillary Clinton's health or integrity?
But in case you don't believe how tone-deaf the liberal elites have become, here is the email below:
Supporter,
This election could
end in a disaster the likes of which most of us have never fathomed.
A Trump presidency
would do irreparable harm to our country and the world. Not possible? The polls
are getting tighter, with Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight projection, as of
today, giving Trump a 31.4% chance of winning! And a brand new CNN poll
actually has Trump IN THE LEAD by two points!
We are fighting our
hearts out to avoid the life-changing disaster that a Trump presidency would be
and to instead make this a year of major progressive gains. That means winning
at all levels, taking back the Senate, making urgently needed gains in the
states, and perhaps even taking back the House.
But no matter who wins
this November, our work will only be beginning.
That's why I’m asking
that you make a commitment to our work and our shared goals in the form of a
monthly donation to People For the American Way.
Our monthly sustaining
members -- Defenders of Democracy -- are a vital piece of the backbone of our
organization.
Through the constant
attacks on the American Way by the Far Right, PFAW Defenders of Democracy
enable our work to promote progressive values and defend your fundamental
rights, as well as those of all Americans. This work is going to be more
important than ever in the coming years, and here’s why:
We are almost certain
to have multiple vacancies on the Supreme Court (we already still have one, due
to the GOP's unprecedented obstruction of President Obama’s nominee).
If Trump wins, the
need for PFAW and groups like ours to play defense against a vicious right-wing
agenda will be greater than it has ever been.
If Mitch McConnell and
Paul Ryan maintain their control of the Senate and House, and Republicans win
in the states, we'll have to fight back even more aggressive attacks on women,
voting rights, workers, LGBT Americans, the environment, and more.
Even if we win at the
top this year, and Hillary Clinton is our next president, we'll have to work
diligently every day to make sure that her administration pursues a progressive
agenda, and to provide the necessary support for her to deliver on
important commitments -- like fighting big money in politics and nominating
judges who will honor the Constitution's protections of freedom and equality,
and not show an unfair bias -- as many right-wing jurists have -- in favor of
corporate and other powerful interests over the rights of We The People.
Will you take the next
step in your support of People For the American Way and become a Defender of
Democracy today with a monthly gift?
Thank you for being an
important part of the progressive movement and for everything you do.
Sincerely,
Kristen
Smith, Membership Director
Final Reflection
If we want to strengthen and enhance our Democratic process, we need to ensure that checks and balances remain strong.
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are walking all over the Constitution, and they routinely disregard Congress.
We need to Make America Great Again, and we cannot do that if we cannot restore the Constitution as our pre-eminent Constitution.
The notion that lying, crooked, hacking Hillary will serves as a restorative tonic to American republicanism is an outrageous joke.
The individuals of People for the American Way should ask for their money back, and vote for Donald Trump in 2016!
OH, and by the way, the United States is not a democracy, but a republic, with democratic participation at the state and local levels, thank you very much!
