Retirement is Wrong

People should not suffer through a job that they hate in order to cash in on a pension.

Retirement is an unworthy practice which undermines the health of the retiree.

We are not called to sit and do nothing in our "declining years." If they are willing to live faithfully, human beings never have to suffer through declining years. Like righteous Abraham, they can live a long life, be old and full of years, marry again and have many children afterwards.

It is all a matter of faith. But retirement blunts the spark of a human being, one who is left in the world, dispossessed of any efficacy.

The pension-health benefits system is unconscionable, not just for the extravagant expenditures forced on municipalities and tax payers, but for the moral decline which results when an idle workforce slowly decays, instead of investing more of their lives and wisdom into their communities.
