California Republican Assembly Endorses Donald Trump for President and Eric Early for U.S. Senate
ELK GROVE, CA – The California Republican Assembly (CRA), a conservative Republican grassroots organization, held an endorsing convention on November 4 in Costa Mesa and endorsed Donald Trump for President of the United States and Eric Early for U.S. Senate. CRA is the oldest Republican volunteer organization in California that endorses Republican candidates.
Supporting Donald Trump is no longer the conservative option. He has denigrated the pro-life movement, he has doubled-down on the folly of locking down the country in 2020 because of COVID-19,
Eric Early stated, “This is a tremendous honor. The California Republican Assembly is the most important gathering of true Republicans in our state. There are no “Republican” Democrat wannabes here. As Ronald Reagan said so long ago, the CRA is ‘the conscious of the Republican Party.’ It still is. The CRA’s members get it, know exactly what is going wrong in California and the nation, and will not back down in their efforts to help right the ship of state.”
Under the bylaws of CRA, candidate endorsements require the support of two-thirds of the delegates at convention. Former President Donald Trump won the nearly unanimous support of the delegates on the first ballot. Attorney/business owner Eric Early won the support of 67.3% of the delegates on the second ballot.
CRA will be
fully supporting both candidates in the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary
Election.
