A Note From Jeanie
Dear Arthur,
Greetings from Washington, D.C.! I’m here attending the Winter Meeting of the Republican National Committee and the tone, tenor, and mood is amazing. Last night RNC members had the great pleasure of hearing directly from President Trump. We learned that together with RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, the RNC is breaking records when it comes to fundraising -- $132 million – putting the Democrats to shame.
We have come so far in a very short time with President Trump leading the effort to Make America Great Again. Republicans delivered the biggest set of tax cuts in a generation. Three million Americans have received bonuses and are seeing more in their take-home pay. Unemployment is at a 17 year low, 2.4 million new jobs have been created, job-killing regulations have been cut, our military is stronger, and our veterans are being taken care of.
Unfortunately, the Democrats hate the President more than they love our country and they continue to obstruct, resist, and divide. On Tuesday night we saw first-hand that hatred. They refused to stand when the President walked into the room. They refused to stand when he talked about the American flag, the National Anthem, or the fact Hispanics and African Americans are enjoying the lowest unemployment rate in years. They even refused to stand for a 12-year boy who put flags on the graves of our veterans. That’s more than disappointing, it’s un-American.
We have a President who loves this country and is working hard to help everyone achieve their own dream. As the President said in his State of the Union address on Tuesday night, “This is our new American moment. There has never been a better time to start living the American Dream…if you work hard, if you believe in yourself, if you believe in America, then you can dream anything, you can be anything, and together we can achieve anything.” Well said, Mr. President.
I return to New Hampshire more energized than ever, knowing that together we will return Governor Sununu to the corner office, grow our majorities in the House, Senate and Executive Council and send two Republicans to Washington to help the President make sure that the progress will continue.
Sincerely,
Jeanie
