At 3:47 in the above video, the sergeant stated that he did see the woman protester tear up the sign. When the sergeant offered to arrest the woman, Arthur Schaper said yes to having her arrested. The sergeant returned about 10 minutes later and said he could not find her. One of the leaders of the protest came back with the sergeant and offered to pay for the sign. He paid $40 to cover the cost of the ripped up sign. Arthur Schaper requested that a criminal report be filed and was provided with a case number. Several of Arthur Schaper's signs and Mike McGetrick's sign that had been stolen by the protesters were damaged or ripped to pieces.
