Before all of this incendiary politicking went public, Franken was a decent actor on Saturday Night Live, where he played the eternally benevolent and nice TV therapist Stuart Smalley.
He also wrote a book as a self-help parody:

The staffers brushed me off immediately, telling me that he supporters the DREAMers. What? American citizens don't matter, but we have to trip over ourselves to help illegal alien kids, who actually are no longer children?!
Franken is a hard-core leftist in the US Senate. He won by outright voter fraud, as the ballots should have been recounted, since the race was decided by less than 1,000 votes out of millions cast in 2008.

The Minnesota Republican Party is calling for his immediate resignation.
Swamp Turtle McConnell has said nothing about this creep, even though there is explicit evidence against the man.
