Herman Cain and Allegations

Is Herman Cain guilty of stepping out inappropriately with former staff during his high restaurant days?

More questions than answers are swirling around the bandwidth and the airwaves.

Mr. Cain has had a presentation problem for some time, making simple mistakes regarding foreign policy, and now his explanations for severance payments and general misconceptions have not helped his image.

If the Godfather's Pizza mogul is truly serious about becoming President of the United States, it's time that he faced reports on these serious allegations. Pundits on the left and the right are not quick to demonize or deify the accusers, but the facts are not all available. Let the truth come forth.

Despite the hazy information on these matters, it is very suspicious that these allegations are surfacing not what Cain is surging in the Republican presidential polls. With the Iowa caucuses only six weeks away, the timing of these allegations would suggest opportunism is at play. According to recent polls, however, Cain is still getting good numbers, placing first in a number of key match-ups.

No matter what the truth behind these charges, Cain must sharpen up his image, get the message out properly, remove himself from individual heated exchanges, then move on.
