"Can God Take a Joke?" Response

Of course God can take a joke; just tell Him your plans.

This common quip induces rest in some; upset in others.

Still, it is refreshing to read about Muslims not afraid to make jokes involving their religious adherents.

Some preachers declare that they can find humor in every part of the Bible. A grace-minded mentality makes it easier to make light of hardship. Despite Joseph's betrayals from family and co-workers (and their wives), despite Judas' selling his Lord for thirty pieces of silver, everything worked for them. Joseph became the prime minister of Egypt, second only to Pharaoh. Jesus' death reconciled God and man forever, and He was honored with sitting at the right of His Father.
