GOP: Show Some Spine, Repeal Obamacare NOW!

The Republicans in Washington did the unthinkable, especially in the United States Senate as well as in the White House.

The pundits not only believed that Hillary Clinton would win the White House, but they were pretty sure that the Democrat would gain a slim majority in the United States Senate.

Neither happened.

In fact, Republicans now have a solid majority in both chambers, and are looking forward to expanding their power in 2018, especially now that Trump is fulfilling many of his campaign promises, and the economy is growing faster than expected.

Republicans in Congress, however, are struggling with what to do with their new-found success.

The biggest problem they face? How to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Check out this private conversation which signaled their fears of the consequences. Click here.

Here is Daily Signal's take (with some of my responses)"

Republicans Express Doubts Over Obamacare ‘Repeal andReplace’ Plan

Some Republican lawmakers are beginning to have doubts about the GOP’s plans to repeal and replace Obamacare, they revealed in a closed-door gathering Thursday in Philadelphia.

Perhaps this is conversation which we should have out in the open.

But those lawmakers find themselves at odds with conservatives who have for years pushed for repeal of the Affordable Care Act—as well as the top Republican in the House.

Finally, the Speaker of the House is in league with the conservative caucus. They have not always seen eye-to-eye on key issues.

“We have to repeal it,” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said of Obamacare in an interview with The Daily Signal. “That’s what we told voters we’re going to do, and we have to repeal all of it. Every mandate. Every regulation.”

I agree with Congressman Jordan. The whole thing needs to be scrapped, and proper health care reform begin from scratch. Piecemeal approaches will not work without a clear and dedicated roadmap toward full repeal.

Ryan affirmed his commitment to getting rid of Obamacare:

“We have a moral obligation to fix this problem. Period,” he said.

That legislation—passed through a budget tool called reconciliation—also would include parts of a replacement.

For years, conservatives such as Jordan, who previously chaired the roughly 40-member House Freedom Caucus, have made a target of Obamacare—which Congress passed in 2010 without a single Republican vote.

Now that Republicans have the numbers to successfully repeal the health care law, Jordan is calling for Congress to move quickly.

Repeal! Repeal it now,. Yes, it will cause pain early on. But the hemorrhaging is bad already, and will get much worse as the economic burden and moral laxity of this terrible law continues.

“I want to do it as soon as we possibly can, because I start from the very fundamental premise that health care will be better and cost less when Obamacare is gone,” the Ohio Republican said. “So let’s get rid of it as quickly as we can.”

Despite a commitment to repealing Obamacare in coming weeks, some Republicans are skeptical that ending taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, should be included in that action.

This is the most frustrating part of this whole debate.

I have no problem with defunding Planned Parenthood separately from the legislation.

The abortion mill which masquerades as a low-income health care facility needs to go.

That provision was part of the bill Republicans sent to President Barack Obama’s desk early last year to roll back major provisions of Obamacare.

Obama vetoed that bill. But with Republican control of both chambers of Congress and the White House, conservatives are pushing for the new repeal bill to at a minimum mirror the legislation passed last year.

Republicans better find a way to ensure Obamacare goes to hell and does not come back from the dead.

The replacement aspect can come into play within two months.

Repeal is necessary, though, and the candy-ass approach offered by US Senator Bill Cassidy and Susan Collins is wholly unacceptable. No state should have an exchange, since the federal government will still reuire taxpayer dollars to keep those exchanges going.

Republican governors as well as Democratic lawmakers have embraced the Medicaid expansion, which has turned out to be the "fool's bet" which Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker had called it.

The GOP House leadership needs to develop a clear narrative how the "Affordable Care Act" has become precariously unaffordable, while ruining businesses and pushing people into part-time work, or no work at all.

They should listen to some of the harrowing stories that working people have endured in California, where standard-bearer Covered California has let down millions. They lost their original health insurance and their doctors. They tried to purchase a different plan on the exchange, which turned out to be more expensive. Doctors will not accept patients with the low-return rates that the Covered California programs offer.

This bill is bad, and must be put down and shoved into the bureaucratic morgue, never to see the light of day ever again.

Republicans need to grow a spine and repeal Obamacare--every word of it.

If they want to enact programs which will protect individuals with pre-existing conditions, they should do so in separate legislation.

They should also enact these reforms right away:

I. Health Savings Accounts (HSA)

II. Permit the Purchase of Health Insurance Across State Lines

III. Remove sclerotic licensure laws

IV. End the arbitrary barriers which prevent doctors from forming limited co-ops

V. Allow more people to become doctors

VI. Restore a trade-oriented, cash-cost direct relationship between doctor and patient as much as possible

VII. Enact Tort Reform

Hawaii Conservatives vs. Pro-Illegal Alien RINOS! (Sound Familiar?)

This has to be the saddest situation in memory for a Republican looking out.

I thought Rhode Island was bad.

Go to Hawaii, and the difference between Republicans and Democrats is practically ... non-existent!

This is the future of California if grassroots Republicans don't push back and demand real leadership and principled fighting in Sacramento and throughout the state.

We don't need sellouts, we nee stand-outs!

Check out what the Hawaii Republican Assembly does it Republican and Democratic members of the woefully lopsided state legislature:

SHOCK: HAWAII GOP LEGISLATORS AND
LOCAL REPUBLICAN PARTY
SUPPORT
DRIVER'S LICENSES FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS

Aloha Republicans:

It is with a heavy heart and an abundance of outrage that HIRA must report to you that Hawaii's Democrat controlled state government has declared Hawaii to be a "Sanctuary State" by mandating that all four of our county DMV's issue driver's licenses to an estimated 40,000+ illegal aliens in Hawaii.

The worst part of this story is that, according to official records at the State Capitolall seven of Hawaii's elected Republicans in the State House unanimously joined with Democrats in pushing Obama's harmful amnesty agenda right here in the islands.  The leader of these Republicans?  Beth Fukumoto, of course.

Not only does this terrible new law reward and incentivize lawbreaking, but it provides sanctuary to illegals, takes jobs and available rental homes away from lawful Hawaii residentscreates traffic congestion (40,000 more cars on Oahu's highways), and puts Hawaii's government employees and our law enforcement officers in the position of actually helping those in the country illegally to continue breaking the law rather than helping to deport people who don't seem to mind breaking our nation's laws.   We're not talking about 20 or 200 or 2,000 illegal aliens.  But 40,000+ who should not be here in the USA.

Please sit down before you read this.  This new law was actually being debated two years ago, during the 2015 legislative session.  But just like our sellout, phony Republicans in Hawaii's state legislature, our own party leaders chose to keep you in the dark about the Obama-inspired driver's license proposal.  RohlfingSaikiHellreichMarumoto and the rest of the Hawaii GOP's state and county leadership were complicit through their silence.

WHY didn't they lead the fight by activating the party organization that Rohlfing, Hellreich, Saiki and Marumoto have had years to amass?  Why didn't they even bother to inform us?  It's their job to speak out for the GOP agenda.  But they chose to help Democrats instead.  It must be why our party leaders in Hawaii have manipulated party rules for years to ensure that the official platform of Hawaii Republicans is completely NEUTRAL on all issues.  [Sadly, if any conservatives exist in any party leadership roles, they have been neutralized and perhaps even neutered beyond recognition.]

And WHY did these turncoat Republicans-in-Name-Only (RINO's) vote FOR Obama's amnesty-sanctuary agenda for illegal aliens (a.k.a. "undocumented Democrats")???  According to State records, McDermottPouhaWardTupolaFukumotoCheape and Thielen decided to go along with the Democrats . . . probably thinking that you wouldn't even notice their traitorous backstabbing of the American people.  [FYI:  only State Senator Sam Slom voted against this bill out of 76 legislators at the State Capitol.]

There's No Doubt Our Party Has Been Hijacked by Liberals and RINO's.

If you're as bothered by the direction of our sellout Hawaii GOP as we are, then join the Hawaii Republican Assembly (HIRA) today and take back our party and our state.  HIRA needs your help making party leaders, our neutral party organization, and our elected GOP officials to start acting like the Republicans they claim to be.

Here at HIRA, we are real Republicans in Hawaii doing battle every single day with Democrats and their harmful liberal agenda.  We take the conservative agenda very seriously, unlike RINO's.  Click HERE to join us today!

On the other hand, remember when these RINO politicians (above) and the RINO Hawaii GOP asks for your money, what they are doing with your support is sneaking around to help Obama, Ige, and Caldwell.  Look closely and you'll see that every single penny raised by the Hawaii GOP is being used to subvert the political agenda of real Republicans in the islands.  $150 Lincoln Dinner ticket = Drivers Licenses for Illegal Aliens and other terrible Democrat policies that Fukumoto, Thielen and the rest of the RINO's support.

IF YOU REMEMBER ONE THING:  The same Hawaii Republican House Caucus led by Gene Ward voted UNANIMOUSLY in favor of establishing Hawaii's Obamacare "Connector" Exchange which was recently shut down after wasting hundreds of millions of YOUR tax dollars over several years.  You deserve better than this.

-----------------------------------------------------

Folks, what we need more than anything is a political party which is under completely new management.  So, if you also want a Hawaii GOP which challenges Democrats, challenges the liberal media, challenges failed policies, and works 24/7/365 to help make the Republican Party the majority party in Hawaii, then please joinThe Phoenix Project -- a coalition of conservatives and 'real Republicans' united to bring positive changes to our party in 2017 so we can start to fix the many problems in Hawaii.

For more information on how you can get involved and to register, please go to GOP Reform: Project Phoenix .  Mahalo!

Trump Trumps Hate: We the People Rising at LAX Protests

This past week has been a whirlwind of winning. We the People—Rising!—have so much to celebrate!

Donald Trump issues executive orders (within his scope as executive, so spare me the “unconstitutional card!”).

He has signed off to protect the unborn overseas from abortions—paid for without taxpayer dollars.

He signed off on the construction of the Keystone and Dakota pipelines.

His latest executive actions have set the liberal loony left ablaze.

The Trump Administration is targeting sanctuary cities for illegal aliens. If elected officials and their police departments resolutely refuse to comply with and enforce federal law, they will lose their federal funding.

I have protested at city council meetings all over Southern California, and they clearly depend on federal money for basic operations. What a YUGE mistake it would be for them to insist on their civic virtue signaling for illegals, only to screw over the law-abiding residents and lose revenue to fund the basic public responsibilities of every city.

Of course, in California, 80% of city budgets go to labor unions and their well-connected bureaucrats. Six figure pensions have become the norm.

Please, President Trump, cut the funding, and bring down the corrupt Democratic political class which has bled this state like a starving vampire.

Hillary Clinton won California by double-digits, but she lost the country. Thank God for all of us.

Another series of executive orders have confirmed the left-wing razorblade snowflakes’ worst fears.
1. Trump is going to build the big, beautiful wall along our Southern borders.

2. He issued a temporary travel ban on seven countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Those seven states are failed states, hot beds for Islamic radicalism in full force. Refugees (in name only, in many cases) have flooded out of those countries to Europe, and 15,000  more have come to America. The Obama Administration has specifically ignored Christians, the true targets of genocide.
But not a finger, or wave of his pen, or call on the phone from Barack Obama.

Do we really want the vast break-down in social order flooding Europe coming into the United States?

I say “Hell No!” to that!

The media, as usually, lied through their teeth, their black and white headlines, and all over on social media. This is not a “Muslim ban”, since 87% of the world’s Muslims are not affected, including dubious international actors like Egypt and Saudi Arabia, as well as radicalized states like Pakistan and Afghanistan.

As for the wall …

Mexico has one along their Southern border. Israel has two, and Hungary threw up secure fences along its Eastern borders. They work—and they make good neighbors.

Trump's decisions to secure our Southern borders, and to impose a temporary ban from dangerous countries, are not xenophobic, racist, sexist, prejudiced, and whatever other illiberal epithet I left out. Our President has every right—and necessity to ensure the safety of American citizens. Is this really a hard concept for people?

Yes, it does read "bring me your poor, your tired, your hungry, your teeming masses” at the bottom of the Statue of Liberty. But even in the 1800s, the United States required a thorough vetting process—for diseases, for suitability, and for potential threats or connections with terrorist groups. Let’s not forget that PRESIDENT William McKinley was assassinated by a foreign-born anarchist.

Extreme vetting is not an extremist policy.

Now, a red voter in the midst of deep blue insanity, I noticed within two hours of Trump’s travel ban, raging anti-social injustice warriors, half of whom I am certain didn’t vote in the last election, set up a Facebook event page to protest at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

I have one of the largest harbors as well as busiest airports within 20 minutes of my home. I was not going to let 100, 1,000 (it ended up to be about 20,000 plus) take up space all over the airport and parade a series of wicked lies for the media to lick up and spit out for the world.

Enough.

Barely 24 hours, I reached out to my fellow Trump supporters We the People Rising, and headed to LAX.

The parking was not as bad as I feared. That was the smoothest part of our counter-protest. We stationed ourselves on a sidewalk island right outside of the Tom Bradley arrival terminal. The crowds of anti-Trump protesters spread like a confetti-covered filth across the sidewalk, onto bridges, and into the streets. Signs with some of the most bigoted remarks imaginable littered the horizon.
I could only feel compassion for the travelers trying to make a flight. Two hours is the expected time to allow for an easy ride from curbside to airplane seat. Not for LAX passengers that day. These nationwide anti-Trump manifests will backfire. Average Americans who live and work are going to get tired of left-wing cry-bullies wetting themselves and trashing the streets.

The most intense moment of our counter-protest?  We stood our ground across from the terminal, but the Trump hate-mongers strangled the sidewalk. They blocked our signs. Bullhorns were blaring. Protesters flipped their middle fingers in our faces. They cursed at us. One of them unplugged my microphone and stereo. Another demon took a yellow siren and put in on full blast.

Whatever happened to “Love Trumps Hate”?

Unintimidated, we just stayed together. We held our ground. We shouted “USA!” and “Trump all the way!”

Five minutes later, the anti-Trump raging began to subside. Whatever they were doing—it wasn’t working. The LAPD, like blue-clad angels, surrounded and forced the negative protesters to gather on the other side of the street.

It was a double victory for Team Trump that day. Our President won on Election Day, and even in California Trump supporters are stepping out, speaking out and standing our ground in support of our chief executive, who is placing the needs of Americans first, and wants to Make America Great Again!
